Hi everyone,
I’ve been given the job of growing a seedling for a 2nd year student project. Originally I was looking at L systems in Houdini, but due to workflow we have decided to create it in Maya and hand animate for more control.
Only problem is I am new to rigging, I get the basic principles but am finding it hard to apply it to a growing object.
Anyway does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could approach this.
I’ve sketched some rough growth so it makes more sense,:
