Graphic anomally?

When I view a mesh in wireframe mode it doesn’t show away-facing wires, but when I select the mesh it does. Why is this?

“show wire frame backfaces” is unchecked. in the view menu

it hides the back of the object but you can always see what you have selected thats why its visible when its selected.

You can use W to switch betwen those to modes face/wire
