Hi vrhead,
Its going great and the texturing is really top notch. Good luck.

Fascinating. You’ve gone from a ship that’s thrown together so quickly that hitting a fly might tear the wing off to one that could fly into a nuclear detonation and the pilot will say “You feel some turbulance back there?” Kind of an incentive program there? You survive the small ships and you get to fly the big boys. :bounce: Can’t wait for more.
Hello there Tyler! I came to visit your thread long ago, but this is my first reply, I see great advances and updates, the ship design is cool an humans as well, my crit is though i like the “dark” feeling the ship on your last post looks from top a bit like an asteroid, maybe to much rust in them, the girl with the wings looks great I would try a little bit more colors, maybe in legs and arms
Very good work Hamilton, do u use Maya? it seems great
me neither… I am specially interested what that winged character does
BTW how about you add some ancient glowing characters to that bug ship? or maybe some wires around the cockpit… other than that I dig that organic look :bounce:
working on the center part of the image… the characters falling in to the ocean as one of the scale parts falls in to the water… the center angel will have fallen oposing soldures around her …
Nice character design. I think if you varied the geometry a bit on the wing “feathers” it would make it feel more real. Right now it’s pretty clear that you just duplicated each one. So, try to scale, stretch and rotate each one just slightly. Make it look like they’ve actually seen some use and abuse.

not that its not a good idea… but it is a manufactured item… not grown and does not have any feathers to ruffle…
Nice work there VRHEAD! I like the scale city concept and the wings on the angel characters your texturing works quite nicely also! good luck with it all:bounce:

Lots going on here Tyler…Your doing a good job…battle ravaged redemption cleric…Now that “Is” a name…
…My only thoughts,an opinion,a taste thing really only would be to give a little more lighter tones, just a touch here and there to contrast with the rest…As a older saying goes…“What is light without dark, and dark without light”…I think that lighter tones in textures here and there will emphasis the dark even more so…But anyways…Nice job, very good effort, and I wish you the best as you go towards that finishline Tyler…:arteest: :arteest:
trying to give a better idea of what the whole pic will be like for people… another concept drawing … part spray can part renders…angles and such will change as i go along… but this is what i am shooting for still
i am running through a test sceen trying to get my hypervoxes to act right… but im gettin wierd distortions and odd size effects… any lightwave users that play with hypervoxes give me a shout if you can help… any way till then looks like its masive compositing time! yay
not an official update just playing around with photo shop and a lame hdr render… no aa so its really choppy… but it took 2 hours so i figured i should use it some where http://vrhead.com/files/hdrtest.jpg
great images! I like what’s going on here.
to add to what virtuoso said: maybe you could use some light contrast to draw the focus toward the center of the action a bit - at the moment it seems a bit balanced in importance between background and center.
Hi there Tyler!
Hey, prety dramatic image You have here, quite creepy
Maybe You could use a little lights or brighter textures on the center angel to show the details. And as mentioned before, add something to focuse on the center.
Regards!
P.S. Thanks for the feedback in my thread.
Hi vrhead,
You’re doing a great job here! I especially like your particle work.
Can’t wait to see more, keep it up! ![]()
working on the forscene… got a couple chars to model i think i can get them hammered out in time… too much blur on this render though… but getting there
did another test render alot better this time… i think this is going to be the final lighting set up 3 area lights one big spotlight pointing at the main char…
