#1

Tony Bela has entered the Grand Space Opera 3D.

Challenge Page

Latest Update: Rendering: Sun struck

I was able to build in the detail once the bacic color background and design where worked out. I re-rendered the models changing the lighting colors and positions once I was more clear on the background image.

Good luck!

The model was created by me a couple of years ago for animation on a student film. I used Infini-d to create the model. The texture maps were done using photshop. The design was ment to look like the ship had been in many battle over many years so it is constantly under reconstruction with bits and pieces added over the years. I used Carrara to update the model and render.

The model was done in Infini-d and Carrara. The ship design was ment to reflect the surrounding in which it would operate. The star furys from Babylon 5 were my main inspiration. I like the fact that they designed space fighters that purely functioned in space in a logical manor.

I used photoshop for the compositing of the final image. The background was done using may layer of wacom drawn clouds and the cloud effects filter. I prefer not no use most photoshop filters thus allowing you to create an image that is more personal to you, not pressing a button and letting the filter do the job for you.

I have not completed the milestones but I would still like feedback on my final illustration.

The final illustration will be based on this design I did a couple of years ago for my website.

Wow, that was quick:) Great models and textures. Composition looks good as well, but try to add more motion blure to emphasize the dynamism.
