Really nice concepts for space ships! I will be looking at:thumbsup:

Damn, another ā€œnot-trying-to-winā€ competitor… This mean we’ll be opponent  This category is going to be crowded soon. (j/k)

Your 2nd ship design is really great (the light cruiser), you’re showing how much details you can add in such a little time, that’s impressive. Good luck, and believe in your talent

i put it here as i didn’t know which cathegory it would fit in… anyways, here’s my final light cruiser, complete with lighting, effects and videopost… also added some small turrets to the main body to make it more flexible in battle… if attacked by many small ships, those doomsday guns outta hell would be pretty useless  anyways i always like crits, so keep em coming… if you think i’ve missed something, don’t be shy, just get it out :stuck_out_tongue:

#24

try to put some detailed textures on and it will be fine.

#25

hm i have no idea how those would look… someone who can give me some inspiration?

edit: Whatever, i’ll just try to draw some and see if they turn out good

Do not dispair, all fans o’ mine  the lack of posting the last few days is because of 1. Enormous amounts of schoolwork 2. The aftereffects of breaking up with my girlfriend 3. The hard work of desiding how to compose my scene… a primary concept of the scene look will soon enter this forum

until then!

Hey Hellspawned,

Your ships look great , instead of scraping the smaller fighter because its not similar in style to the larger ship. I would just tweak it and see how it goes. I liked your small fighter ,dont want to see it scraped.

Keep up the good work. Oh , I am in the same boat as you regarding the contest

Okey, i’ve been busy doing schoolwork for a good while, but i’ve come up with this idea: instead of the old one, where the watcher of the picture is an invisible third part, he will now take place in the battle as a member of the crew of one of the ships (haven’t decided which armada it should belong to yet)… anyway, i think im going to stick to my old idea concerning how the terrain outside would look… shall i have more panoramic windows?

EDIT: I’ve now decided how to make the scene: I will add a partial body to the ship, visible from the window (which i will enlarge) and the battle outside. The concept of the scenes terrain and ship placement are almost complete and will show up here in a short while…

Your stuff looks great. Yeah, looks like you flow with it pretty
easily. I need to work on sci-fi stuff more. The last scene is very
cool. I like the idea of fighting from a calm position, like in a submarine.
I hope you stick with this concept, just because I wanna see more!

yeah well i think i’m gonna stick to the controlroom idea… now i just need to crowd it with people and gizmos… one thing though… can someone tip me on a free boolean plugin? i need it for controlboard and stuff… tried out the trial of powerboolean, worked like a dream… or so i thought until i saved and restarted the program… all powerboolean objects vanish every time you restart the program… and the common boolean operation makes any mesh inte A MESS… so if anyone’ve got a good free boolean plugin please tell me…
