ooookey
det var väl antagligen bara skitsegt igår, när jag försökte posta… :S postade ju 3 meddelanden utan att ett enda visades här :S
A basic modell, almost no details added… only the videopost glow, which i added because it looks good ^^
okey, perhaps it’s time to post a story behind my whats going to be my final product…
here we go: The anayan people, who’ve been living in exile ever since their planet where destroyed by a gigantic spaceliving planet-devourer, so now they travel from world to world, mining resources of uninhabited planets, of which they build new ships and repair the old ones.
this time only, they’ve come to the wrong system, inhabited by an imperialistic and extremly aggresive race, with great battleships… and this scene is their final struggle… pretty classic, but i think it will be an interesting subject
this concept just might work… i like the spaceship designs, specially the last one, it looks really detailed while its still lowpoly, u pulled that out really smooth, i’ll b looking for more of ur updates
OOO I dig it totaly! How did you do the plates on the second ship? Modeled or used a plug-in? Well anyway keep it up and good luck!
Hey, yeah that second ship looks really cool. Though I do have to say that the two ships looks like they are from a sperate fleet/race. Mostly because ones very smooth and the other one is boxy. Maybe they are supposed to be from diffeant places? Looks good thouhg.
can’t wait to see more.
okey… now that you mention it, i agree they dont look like they’re from the same fleet… perhaps i’ll trash the smaller ship, or perhaps i’m gonna re-texture it and add it to the defensive fleet… waddaya think? anyways the bumps on the bigger ship are made with greeble, a very powerful tool for making extrusions/insets… good for making cities also, as it has a built-in tool for adding little thingies on the top of the extrusions, making a very real-looking house… nothing for high detail buildings, but for giant metropolis’es and such, it’s The tool, with a big “T”
anyways thanks for the crits, i’m hoping that i can make some more interesting buildings and ships
A ship that helps smaller vessels closer to the enemy by hiding them behind the shield it generates, making them safer against fast artillery… then when the shieldship comes close enough to the enemy target, it simply turns back to base, and the fighters creates the mayhem of the decade
I’m with you as I’m not joining this contest to win either. But don’t doubt yourself, you never know what might happen! However, in my opinion the best way to learn an artistic craft is by critique. Although I don’t think anyone here will be harsh about it, I wouldn’t fear a critique.
But to get back on topic, I like the second ships design a lot better than the first. Very nice work so far!
Damn, another “not-trying-to-win” competitor… This mean we’ll be opponent
This category is going to be crowded soon. (j/k)
Your 2nd ship design is really great (the light cruiser), you’re showing how much details you can add in such a little time, that’s impressive. Good luck, and believe in your talent
i put it here as i didn’t know which cathegory it would fit in… anyways, here’s my final light cruiser, complete with lighting, effects and videopost… also added some small turrets to the main body to make it more flexible in battle… if attacked by many small ships, those doomsday guns outta hell would be pretty useless
anyways i always like crits, so keep em coming… if you think i’ve missed something, don’t be shy, just get it out
