Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Spiro Anagnostakos
@arlutik: Thanks!
@percydaman: Thanks again! I was off of school and work so I figured why not
@splotch: Thanks, I will be watching yours too. There’s gonna be a lot of cool threads this challenge, and be sure to check everyones.:buttrock:
Very nice modeling progress, keep up. you know that shape is exactly reminds me of an airplane’s Jet, can you add different detailes to give it some changes or at least try to squeez and stretch to make new shape.(opinion):wise:
very nice start keep going, be right here every change to check out.![]()
WoW Really fast one! Wishing the best to another neighbour too!![]()
I think that the concept colors need some work though, the Cyclone ship looks cool (retro staff!)
Keep it up and Happy modelling!
These are the thrusters that I must now encorperate into my small cockpit. The cockpit will be smaller than the one the sketch, I want to really show how massive this will be.
Well for the time being I think I’m done modelling this fighter. I may add some detail like bolts and stuff later. I’m just a little concern as someone mentioned, about the top engine can anyone give me some feedback on it. I really want to portray it’s massiveness but I need some opinion on what how it looks. Thanks!!
Hey Spiro, I like the engine engine design! I think some rivets, plating and weld seams, would help convey some scale. Keep up the good work , I’ll check back to see how it progresses!
I think the top fin should have less of an organic connection to the main body of the engine. More of a hard connection like the rest of the attached components.
Nice pic, but I too don’t think that the tail fin fits in with the rest of the ship.
Love the details though!![]()
Geia Xara Spyro, nice progress there but I can’t really tell the proportions of it. I assume adding several smaller fins (non organic-like) on the engine along with several antennas, maybe some elevators from back to front of the engine and staff like that, would add some massiveness. Also the blades of the fan of the turbine engine should be a whole bunch more and with a lot more variations. Add some thinner with some bolder parts on each blade.
Top Fin issue:I believe you could add a strong arm extending far behind the engine that would actually carry a fin or two on it…
Keep it up neighbour!
GREAT GREAT GTREAT START!.. i love those engine designs… but i think the main body is too round… and u can try to make the fin separately… taht will add more rugget design in to it… and dude i like those guns… really pointy… i wannett o make a gun for my ship and i had almost the same idea… but keep goin i can change the design for myslef…i’ll b checkin in for updates soon… cya
Engine modeling looks cool…great start in modeling…one thing i would like to say if u don’t mind is …the wing on the upper part of the turbine…dont stick it out of the outer body 'cuase it looks a little bit of with the rest …make it a different part and less smoothed…more linear shape…just an opinion. Other than that…waiting updates
You guys are right this looks much better it seems like it all fits together nicely now. I would love to add more detail, but my polycount is kinda high so this may be finished.
If u are going to have this part of geometry close the keep it in this detail…but if it away from the camera focus point enough …put the low poly version with just smoothe normals
Hey there neighbour! Lost you for a while. The turbine seems quite well now, agree with Dimitris on the focus point. I would suggest adding more details with the texture if there is no possible way of adding more polys
