#10

Added the beginning of the stabilizer…

#11

This is on both sides of the cyclone fighter. They will be able to rotate, just haven’t gotten that far yet. Please fell free to critique. Thanks!

#12

hi gyro, your image is simple but looks with a lot of action. I have a question, you are going for some hitech spaceships or toon-ish style? I ask this coz the modeling looks for hitech ships, but the concept looks more cartoon-stylized

#13

Well my sketches look cartoonish because when I’m trying to design something, I feel appeal is really important so I basically am looking for the curves and angles that will do that, which is why it may look a little cartoonish but I’m most definatly going for the high tech look.

#14

Looks like a lot of action is going on. Make sure you get a good angle on it.

@splotch: Thanks, I will be watching yours too. There’s gonna be a lot of cool threads this challenge, and be sure to check everyones.:buttrock:

#21

Very nice modeling progress, keep up. you know that shape is exactly reminds me of an airplane’s Jet, can you add different detailes to give it some changes or at least try to squeez and stretch to make new shape.(opinion):wise:
very nice start keep going, be right here every change to check out.

#22

WoW Really fast one! Wishing the best to another neighbour too!
I think that the concept colors need some work though, the Cyclone ship looks cool (retro staff!)

Keep it up and Happy modelling!

#23

These are the thrusters that I must now encorperate into my small cockpit. The cockpit will be smaller than the one the sketch, I want to really show how massive this will be.

#24

Well for the time being I think I’m done modelling this fighter. I may add some detail like bolts and stuff later. I’m just a little concern as someone mentioned, about the top engine can anyone give me some feedback on it. I really want to portray it’s massiveness but I need some opinion on what how it looks. Thanks!!

#25

so does anyone have an opinion on the engine??

#26

Hey Spiro, I like the engine engine design! I think some rivets, plating and weld seams, would help convey some scale. Keep up the good work , I’ll check back to see how it progresses!

#27

I think the top fin should have less of an organic connection to the main body of the engine. More of a hard connection like the rest of the attached components.

#28

Nice pic, but I too don’t think that the tail fin fits in with the rest of the ship.
Love the details though!

#29

Geia Xara Spyro, nice progress there but I can’t really tell the proportions of it. I assume adding several smaller fins (non organic-like) on the engine along with several antennas, maybe some elevators from back to front of the engine and staff like that, would add some massiveness. Also the blades of the fan of the turbine engine should be a whole bunch more and with a lot more variations. Add some thinner with some bolder parts on each blade.
Top Fin issue:I believe you could add a strong arm extending far behind the engine that would actually carry a fin or two on it…

Keep it up neighbour!
