Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Roger Cotton

#40

Nice Detail…Reminds me of the Retro feel that “Tomorrowland” has here at Walt Disney World (Which I’m a big fan of that style). Great work can’t wait to see it textured.

I’ve been modeling details to the middle and back side of the ship. Next, I will concentrate on fleshing out the bridge. I’m thinking of making the top back half of the bridge tererrium-style area.

#42

Great progress on the ship. Seems bigger in size by every new picture of it. I love your power source(enclosed micro star), even though it´s wip. There´s some cartoon style in the design, especially the lasers:). Great work

Keep going

#43

hey that ship is really looking good!.. very interesting… kee it up man…

#44

Thanks, guys. I’m glad to hear you think it’s interesting. I may change the scaling of the weaponry to make it look less cartoony. I’m working on the fuselage and bridge areas now.

#45

HA! classic looking Ship Rodge I love it.

#46

That looks great! I would like to see a turn around of it if is possible but I am guessing you must be busy creating stuff. keep up the good work.

#47

I remodeled the crusier to give it more of a “cosmic look” like in some of the old Marvel comic books.

This is only the first half of the ship, without the microstar containment bubble inside the ring.

I will be adding additional nurnies to the hull, especially around the bridge.

#48

As I said, the bridge area still needs work as far as modeling detailing is concerned.

#49

The side view…

#50

Rear view of front half of ship…

#51

Hi!
Nice progress Roger, I`ll keep an eye on your thread and wait for the textures part

Good work

#52

Thanks, Maciej. I will be modeling the new backend of the ship today. By the way, the organic-looking buildings in your project are really interesting.

#53

This is the entire vessel, sans needed nurnies. When I have have a few hours, I’ll add circular shapes, conduit tubes, antennae, etc., to break up the symmetrical surfaces of the bridge, etc.

After that, I’ll begin the process of texturing.

#54

Here’s the latest side view…

#55

great ship designs. I love the progress you are making. Modeling looks solid. Keep it up!

#56

Thanks, ||) |V| |^|. I appreciate that.

#57

mmm nice! this is remiding me classic scifi movies
keep em coming dude!

#58

It took me about six hours to model the second version.

#59

I am trying to decide between v2 and v3. Which do you think looks more interesting?

Is it this one…?
