Hello Richard…and…

[b]A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

wishing the best on your efforts and visions on this new year!!

You keep moving pretty fast mate!!

Keep up the great work on this new year too!!

Great update. Something bothers me about the camera angle, looks like you only really get a sky view of the battle. Waiting to see more stuff in the scene before I give more critiques.

#683

Interesting concept… going to be an awesome scene! Can’t wait for you to finish it

Best of luck man

#684

Thank you everyone. I promise. Many more things coming. I am alllmost completely finished with the basilisk… going to be bad @$$! I am posting up an armor update. There is still 1 more layer to go over this one. Weapons. Details… Feet… etc…

When its done. I will be adding them to the scene. Adding the Aliens. Meanwhile as soon as the Mech Modeling is completed and it moves over to the render box. I am going to begin modeling the characters. As you can see, I started working more on the way I want the face positioning to be. Please keep in mind that there are no FX at all in use here. No plugins to be used at all. If I cannot model it… I will paint it by hand at the end. I read that entry is based on the majority of the work in 2D or 3D not that every bit has to be one or the other… I think mine is mostly 3D  hehe. Anyway, kicking off '05 as large as I can manage and as fast as these machines will let me!

This is the 75% marker on this model. Almost finished. C ‘n’ C Welcomed!

#686

Hey, I wanted to say thanks for the motivation on my project.

This thread is enormous! It in itself is epic

I wish I could say something more constructive, but I think I should read through the thread a little more carefully and watch where everything is going from here onwards. Keep up the good work!

#687

My pleasure. Glad you stopped by. Keep at.

#688

I have begun modeling the characters. Expect many more updates on this as well as the scene and compositions.

#689

The backside so far. Moving things along at a consistent rate. I am pleased with the overall progress. More to come…

#690

Front side so far. I am about to call it a night. More to come on this tommorow.

#691

It’s past 5:00AM there, you hard worker…it’s great to see the layout for your epic space opera Richard. You have some fine models in the works, and your work ethic is second to none, fantastic attitude and work ethic,a great guy to have on any team…Keep at it as you are,you will certanly have a piece of work/art here to be proud of…I’ll be watching, you know that…Now get some sleep…your armada will be safe, nothing is going to mess with that bad arse fleet… :arteest:

#692

Hey there, loving what you have so far. The composition seems abit hectic as in having alot of things going on at one time. I think it is not your finalized texture so can’t tell until you do the final texture. Good luck and Happy new year!

#693

 Wow! The detail on that Mech! Really really awesome stuff man. I see you’ve been working very hard… keep it up! :scream:

I have to say though, it looks kinda funny without the feet on… lol… (I don’t mean that in a bad way… just humorous).

It’s neat seeing all the different stages of these models as you build them… good stuff!

#694

Looks like you have been hard at work, while I have been away. Hope you had a great New Year.____________

I left half of the body unfinished in the chest so you can see the amount of progression since the last stage. I reduced her chest size considerably to make her more “realistic”, as well as athletic. A womans chest is quite simply the most complex thing to get right… due to PT. Now that this is complete, the rest of the character will come quite quickly.

#696

great progress sience my last visit! well done. your concept now is very good. It’s thought and serious. I like it a lot and wish you best in finishing it!

#697

Coming along …shall I say “Smoothly”…I’ll await further smoothing before I judge her date-able…So far promising Richard…Keep working hard, and the passion burning…:arteest:

#698

Man what a pun…Yup it’s a nice start to modelling, the boobs man, got to make them bigger!:scream: Nah just kidding, small ones are nice too!

Cheers, keep up the hard work!

tzktime - Chaos is the term. It is quite chaotic. But who said during the annialation of a species… ok file into single file, ordered lines for your demise… oh yeah “V” did that… n/m :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: anyway, correct none of the buildings are final nore the textures. But it at least lets you know where I am going.

Nekura - Thanks man. I cannot wait to blow one up!:twisted:

enochian - Thanks so far the new year has been better than last I can only hope the rest follows… :stuck_out_tongue:

arturro - I see time on a bubbles string. Matter and space can break newtons laws by einsteins theory. No matter how mechanical 3D modeling can seem some times in working with it… its art, and what seperates art from cool pictures… emotion, can you connect? In a painting you see something will it to be there close your eyes visualize the form, and then draw, sketch or paint a big splotch where you want it to be. You paint a highlighted surface because you want that color right there… it matters not what that part is, its just cool looking right there. In 3D you have no such luxery!

Virtuoso - :wise: you gotta man. Hehe. I am keeping on the good fight even though having both computers I just feel like I need something more powerful so its not, click, wait, click, wait, click, wait… :frowning: Sometimes its hard to get into this all when your computer crashes or you have to do something twice cause you forgot to save the last step, etc… But I will not give up. I have a story to tell, and this challenge… is only the very beggining!

keetmun - Michael is pretty smooth with his words… :stuck_out_tongue: I did make them a bit bigger. I will post it up here. I just did not want my work to end up being that guy who puts those “big boobed space chicks in his stuff…” but what the hey, I want her chest to at least make some kind of an impression

Here is the completed body. I am still working on all limbs, which will be completed today and by tonight I should have started the head/face. She will have as worldy indescript face as possible. Asian, hispanic, african, euro, all taken into consideration.
