NIce start on the modeling. Your creature has some similar qualities to the creatures from the anime series ā€œEvangelionā€ Very cool looking.

Hello James,

thanx very much for the links and thats a ā€œMust readā€ thread i guess…:scream:

well, yes, i feel composition is a less-talked about topic , but thats damn important…
woulld like to request all to keep posting such related links,…

thanx, and james, ur work is really inspiring !!

cheers,

Composition is indeed very important. I’d go as far as saying it’s more important than all the other aspects of an image… and more difficult to learn too (I have to do that sooner or later) - - - Study the works of great photographers is my tip… that will give a good insight into lighting and composition without the technical distractions associated with CG.

#72

Nice modelling and concept sketches so far. I’ll keep checking back on your progress.

#73

JAMES-- thank u very much ,now i will spend some time on studying these things…

ASHISH---- thanks for following me so closely, for inspiration i just watch lots of movies…not the usual ones…tv[music videos], and ofcourse lots of cgtalk …just drink it,eat it and sleeep it:)

#74

man, the green buddy makes me headbang :buttrock:

JamesMK, what you said about compositing, did you mean if we are using the aurea proportion (i dont know if its said that way in english) when we compose?

#75

I assume that translates to the golden ratio… and, well, proportion is one of many aspects of composition… and the golden ratio is one of many possible ā€œsolutionsā€ to divide an image into sub-parts. But aside from proportion you also want to look into things like depth blocking, framing, symmetry, contrast and colour perspective (though the latter regards colour theory rather than composition) - ultimately we’d need somebody with a classic art education to step in here  because I’m really just a hack in this context… and don’t think too much about it - in the end you only need to listen to what your eyes think of it

#76

I liked the stuffs you are creating here. Congrats man!

#77

why cant we have 48 hours in a day…

 my jobs taking up all the time…
i might slow down on posting my stuff…
desperately waiting for long weekends and holidays…:scream: :banghead:

#78

i like your challenge orientation.
Something like ā€œla planete interditeā€ ā€œforbiden planetā€
Keep on, i like too see the result.

#79

hi nice modeling
i am new to your concept i did’t read all what you have wrote.but
what i want to say is the model you are working on is not look like an enemie or how can i say not a monster it is look like a very lovely monster with that smile.
good luck

just one more sketch i did for the creaturesworking on to make it look like a fish with legs still having fins…will put gills behind the eyes and some metal connectores protruding from the head which are connected to the rider…
