Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Pfeiffer Gilles

#61

I agree with you ! I’m in the begining of the shape ! I think he certainly don’t eat everyday ! He would become fat during the modeling !

THX for comments Guys !

#62

Good alien model! I think that the body should be slim but the feet need some tweaking. Well, is just my opinion!!

#63

You’re right, I’ve model the feet in hurry before sending this image…
The tweak is on the way !

#64

Yup just wanted to clarify the setting of your scene. Keep going!

:buttrock:

#65

I think the alien can be slim… no prob… maybe there’s not too much things to eat in the space… but I think anyway that he can have a style more nervous… in particular on the level of the articulations… You may certainly exaggerated some details will be needed, so that they are really seen…

Bon courage pour la suite Gilles :bounce:

#66

Yes, He needs more style from the shaper ! But I’m still modeling him ! It’s not finished yet !

#67

Just a little render to see the alien out of the maya window !

I had to work again on the modeling before doing the mapping…

#68

Yes… I think he must have some reliefs more harder… maybe done with vessels or muscles… or like I said before, with articulations more visible…
For the moment he miss some volume and some details.
You must always thinking that your alien have a common point with us… He have, a real skeleton and muscles, maybe with differents proportion than humans, but it was this parts who model his aspect… that we see, it’s only the skin enveloppe.

I wait the following Gilles

#69

what a cool alien dude…very funny…keep up the good work

#70

yes, and you’re the specialist who models squeleton and muscles before the skin ! I remember your machine flesh challenge ! I’m asking myself if I do it in maya or if I do it in Zbrush…
The other question is; is it really necessary to model it very detailed ? He will be in the robot ans I don’t think taht we see him very much…
Laurent, you’re the only one who model invisible parts !

#71

Hi Gpepper, your alien is nice, i love his smile. Remind me a little of Tim Burton’s “Mars Attack”.
Good luck in the challenge, i will follow your thread

#72

modeling modeling and modeling again and again !

#73

I’m liking it dude!! Keep modeling…i bet that it is almost finished!!

#74

Nice alien, hope to see it with a nice texture soon …

#75

:bounce: I think u should think more on Lemog’s thoughts…making some basic muscle system under the skin will help u give more believable shape outside…just an opinion…waiting for more updates …cool work so far  . …

#76

Hey great job on the alien! Looks cool. Please beginn with the mechs… they are my favorite  Keep it up man!

#77

hey, that’s a charismatic alien! hehe, just the kind of character i would like to see animated =), maybe you can add more in the anatomy, maybe we should see his ribs, and more muscles… well just a thougth, good luck and keep working =)!

#78

I’m starting the modeling of the mecha, there’s one change… He will have four feet…

#79

Hey hey this will be good:bounce: !!

#80

I just said that because drawing or thinking skeleton and muscles help you to have a credible skin… you must don’t forget that the people who see you image, then your alien, appreciate it by there reference of existing thing, or to there culture reference, and for sure, SF reference…

But I see your new detail on the body… and I think it’s very better…

hahahahaha… it’s for the pleasure to modeling… and to be do more life and fun in the wip :scream:

Le mech n’aura certainement aucun problème pour prendre son pied… il va avoir le choix
