Pfeiffer…hello.I have a suggestion…I think it might be best for you to have a robot control a robot against the humans…the reason is that in the instructions for the challenge they say this: "We are not looking for pictures of flying saucers, green humanoid aliens or spacemen with laser blasters."…

       I am only here to mention this to you in case you were not familiar with this rule and instruction.Of course in the end you should do as you feel.................

    But with bots and humans and space vessels all will be well,thus I have suggested you go with 1 bot riding another against those poor humans.............:cool:

Perhaps I didn’t see the subject very well…

DimitrisLiatsos told me to make the picture wider, and I agree with that…
While I was sketching first I thought it will be cool to have a closest scene of a space fighting, but this is not the subject, in this case Cgtalk wouldn’t call the challenge “Grand Space Opera” !
I think that concept will be the front scene of the composition and in the back there will be some other robots and humans fighting each other, while space ships bombard all around…

Let’s see If I had the time… :cry:

but the point I wanted to reach is finishing this “green” alien , who could be blue, and the Bot he will ride…

Pfeiffer…I believe the point is they do not want any aliens…green,blue,yellow,red…any! Of course this is up to you,I just wanted to help you out in case you missed this point…perhaps you can create bots riding bots against the humans…And do an alien on a side project?

      I like your alien,it is just that the rules and instructions are pretty clear on this.But again,I am just here to help if I can.it's all up to you of course...............All the best to you,I will keep an eye out for updates,Until then take care..............:cool:

I don’t think it’s “forbidden” to make an alien riding a bot…
Why in a space conflict there would not have any alien ? If you take the example of Star Wars, there are lots of alien, every where… And nobody feels this is strange… Why could there not be any alien in a “Grand space opera” contest ?
I understand what you are talking about, but I have an idea and I would like to keep it until the end… I don’t have the time to do several projects at the same time…
If I’m out of the subject, it’s not important, I would have done what I thought it was the best…

Hi Gil… I understand,I am all for aliens,I like them,they are fun and interesting for sure.I just wanted to point these instructions out to you for this praticular challenge.I always think it’s best to do your thing,and what your heart tells you,…So have fun ,create a wonderful alien army with there bots,and god save the Humans…Best of luck to you,I’ll check up on you as time goes…:slight_smile:

Yeah… I find this alien truely simpathic… not to much alien but near us… near human… before humans, before monkeys… the origin… :smiley:

When I read the previous posts… I understand one think -> I’ve don’t understand clearly the subject… and I don’t know if it’s more clear for me… definitively… I’m not very good for the other language than mine… :sad:

The alien and robot sketches loks nice (dont know yet about the foot fingers are Ok - waiting for the modelling satge) I appreciate you are very decided. If youll put same big scale war in the background, indeed it will be a simple story in a war.
