Reda, Eric and Tiago thanx for comments friends.

Mohammed, I like the composition of your scene – lots of visual interest. The ships are also quite unique and have almost an organic look, so it should be fascinating to see what the textures look like.

As for the backstory, it’s got a nice human element, but one whopping logical problem: you’ve basically posited a technologically advanced civilization with no knowledge of geology. Seriously, they’ve got space travel … but obviously no means of determining the age of the strange rocks (clearly not native to the planet) that dot their world and should tip them off to the fact that EVERY TEN THOUSAND YEARS the planet gets bombarded by asteroids.

Of course, none of this has anything to do with whether the final image works … but it does raise an interesting question: would it be possible for a civilization to develop that is extremely advanced in certain sciences, but sorely lagging in others?

Just something your scene has me pondering.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing how your image progresses. Best of luck!

Like it very, with a very dramatic perspective this can be overwelming …go man…go…waiting updates!
(forgive my ENGRISH) :bounce:

#25

nuclearman, Yeah Friend, you are definately right, let me go around it, may I…

as i said the planet is very rich one, and those asteroids are enriching the planet more and more every 10,000 years as i said previously which means as you were be able to figure out that they must know about those asteroids that attacks the planet from the historical and geological sciences.
those creatures knew about the asteroids but they didn’t know the circulation of the attacks, and to say it better from image you can see they are leaving exactly while attacks are there, which means they figured out them before some time but not enough.
besides, i don’t know if this is the first new civilisation on the planet or very old one, you know 1000 years are enough to make things goes extremely different, and i can’t say that the geological nature of this planet matches the earth.

your notice was smart, i don’t know if i convinced you, thanx friend…
please keep comming…

best luck.

DimitrisLiatsos, Thank you man i’ll try my best…

tsunami4you, about crowds, realy it is !. the only one thing wich will change this look and make the scene clearer is lighting, this problem will be covered a little bit with coloring the sketch, i’ll try my best to finish all sketching milstone tomorrow and start modeling.

#38

I like. I like alot.

Some possible points of interst.

  1. Do we assume that this city has anti aircraft weaponry?? It would be visually impresive to see the vast colums of AAA fire lighting up the sky in a vain and tragic attempt to fend of the bugs.

  2. Consider the possibility of having people on the roofs of the buildings, some in awe, some attacking the bugs, and some being ravaged by the invaders. Also I would imagine that this urban setting would have a great number of people looking out of their windows trying to understand what is going on.

  3. It would be intresting to have the man cowering in horror to have more of emotive impact on the viewer; what if his family is just coming out of the door to see what is going on, when they behold their “father” in the state he is in. It would add much tragedy.

  4. I like the curvilinar perspective but I would work a little more on the color treatment.

Well good luck.

WOW! Based on your concept I can see where you can add a huge vessel, right in front of the planet…

  • cheers!
