Thanks for the comments , I will try and randomize the greebles . I am still debating wether I should add wings and a tail fin as this is a ship both for the air and space.

I dont think the model is too boxy but the “legs” are strange dont you think ?

Here is a couple of concepts for the Alliance fighter . The first one I thought about more , the second one needs more work but is more futuristic. Which one do you think I should concentrate on.
This is just the cargo ship again with wings added and the gun turret under the pilots cab. Also randomized the greebles a bit. Still have to change the landing gear. Trying to see if the cargo ship looks better with or without wings.
I’m liking that cargo ship, I think it could go without wings…but, I’d recommend making it a bit more airodynamic. Not necessarily smoother or rounder, but maybe proportionally more consistent. Basically, the head could be bigger I guess.

Hello mmoir , The concept art looks nice , i like the colors and the structures in the scene . The ship concept looks good it will be interesting to see all the datails when you start to model it
The cargo has nice details , maybe you can add more fireguns in the side of the ship and has more defense

Thanks for the comments, I sort of wanted the cargo ship a bit vulnerable . I was going to have fighter escorts for the cargo ship. Although the ship would still be open to attack from above if I added gun ports to to the sides. I will have to think about.

Hmm, I may change the cab to be also a bit of a troop carrier as well that way I can make it bigger. Maybe almost the entire width of the cargo part of the ship.

I think the cargo doesn’t needs wings, neither to be more aerodynamic, as in space there’s no need for both. Secondly, to make it more vulnerable you shouldn’t, in my opinion, give it a front gun (which is more for attack). It better be fitted with a defence turret (a 360° turning one for example). Otherwise it looks cool. Keep up!
Here is the fighter craft modeled, it is still in two halves so there is a seam down the middle. I have to add the vertical takeoff thrusters and landing gear . I am sort of happy with the look of it. I was worried it would simply look like a jet fighter that exists today. I think it looks a little more futuristic, which was what I was after.

I was envisioning this cargo plane for use in space as well as in the air too. For the gun turret at the front it is supposed to swivel or turn , maybe I should emphasize that more.

An updated fighter craft image. Just combined the 2 halves to form one mesh. Added the thrusters and landing gear. Adding the cockpit stuff is next and then I will be done this model for now.
