• Very good render Marcin! I wish u luck

I got a chance to change the rock, and it worked out for the better (I think). I was scared that my comp wasn’t gonna handle the render as I was using a big texture map with displacement. I’m glad it worked. I’m leaving it the way it is here.

#64

Oh thank you Climax!

#65

Looks really nice.
The lighting is very well done.
best of luck

great to hear its uploaded, all the best…:bounce:

I love the textures and displacements (it borders on photorealistic), but… I kinda don’t understand how this entry relates to Grand Space Opera. I mean, I understand the concept behind it, but the final image doesn’t display the storytelling that your original concepts had.

Not trying to put you down at all, cause I really like the final renders: I just don’t see the concept behind the final image.

well to me i looks like the concept “sabotage” co-relates to something grand and science fictional exactly the way the image depicts it.The proportions and scale of the image fit the idea of this challenge perfectly, the lighting/modeling/texturing/atmospherics,concept everything is nailed. It looks immaculate and the concept is perfect once again. It doesnt even take a thought or any brains to understand what the artist is trying to convey in this piece.its perfect …and professional…and so are the judges…good luck

ok no more tweeking!

#70

oh yeah, theres the other planetary addition …:buttrock::applause::applause::applause::applause:

#71

I like composition
great… idea

#72

The rock is cool, but I would add some fog to gain the feeling of perspective.
Detalization:thumbsup:

#73

thanx guys!

you know what Alladin? … I got some fog in just at the bottom of the rock to signify height like you sudgested. (not too much thoufg) Looks better. Thanx

#74

Ok, look:
Just because I personally don’t see how his entry best expresses his concept doesn’t mean I don’t “have any brains” or gives you any other reason to put me down; people have different opinions and thought processses, so don’t give me that. :curious:
I understand (and like…) the concept and theme he choose, as well as his initial sketches. I just don’t think the final entry gives a clear idea on what is taking place (this is my own opinion and I’m not asking anybody to share it)

crazybread: I wish you the best and good luck with the judging: you’ve done a very good job on this piece. (my little rant above has nothing to do with you  )

EDIT: Ok, maybe I jumped the gun a little. (eh, I don’t know…)

#75

chill out mate, dont be suspicious …i am not giving you any garbage, infact ,i am also stating my opinion in a way.You took offence for no reason.btw, good luck with your entry.

#76

aw-aw-awesome textures, dude!

PD: i found a skull in the rock :stuck_out_tongue:

#77

This image looks so real, great lighting…great work

#78

rashaverak, element5: Thanks guys.

The textures are all somewhat high rez, arround 3-4 k for the rock. I had fun rendering it. I had to do it in 3 layers due to memory problems. I just wouldn’t render whole at 4k so I had to render out 3 parts, top mid and low seperately.

#79

ps. rashaverak: I dunno about a skull but if you look closely in the higher rez version I put myself on the rock somewhere.

#80

i liked much of this image … maybe two black clothed characters
on that roof there, stepping into an escape vessel, wouldve given the
pic a bit more excitement. Also , some trees down in the foreground or
some mountains in the back ground might have been good …
the rock and tower are just so cool
