Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Laurent Antoine Lemog

#461

I’m trying… the time run so fast… and remain me a lot of things to do…many ship… the station… an observatory… and so…

You’ve certainly right… I have yet some more parts to adding, and the “haubannage” (I don’t know the english word for the cable like on the old biplane of WW1…)

#462

Glim -> Funny ? surely… I take a lot of pleasure to do this model…

terrarc -> you want a seat… pilot or the man who occupies himself of putting coal in the boiler ? :scream:

#463

I love it ! can’t wait to see it with the wings on!
Can I have the boilerman seat ? Terrarc you take the pilot place right ?

#464

Doing a very nice job Lemog,I think the plan is coming as you had hoped,I look forward to the next models,as you continue on your road here…I like the idea and think it is important to add cables as supports for the fans…

Ok Lemog, work hard,it is paying off.A fun and interesting thread,as I had hoped and expected…:arteest:

This is a great example of how space travel would look like if there is a abnormal constraint that says “Thee shall not advance in material technology starting from 1850”. Which the outcome is romance and beauty!

Congrats Lemog!

A couple of questions:

-Do you use 3d splines for the hosts?

-How do you achieve the gradient background stretching from the base of your model?

#466

cough cough gasp

I’m… trying… must… breathe…

Man, this is amazing!! :bounce:
I absolutely love your style. This vessels are looking like they’re out of a early dream, when you image you can fly through space after reading a book of Jules Verne
It’s also great to see that the details are created with love for the object.
Must have a real model of those vessels to put them in a vitrine at home

is that possible?

keep it up, you really really rock! :applause:

Actually a seat with a view would be great no matter the vehicle, just to “be” there!

:bounce::bounce:

I’ll take some flight lessons just to be ready in any case!

#468

Great great great!

Did I mention ‘great’?

#469

AcidX -> me too, I will be happy to have this modelship in vitrine at home… to continue the dream… Thanks for your comment man…

terraarc -> don’t forget the seatbelt then :banghead:

JamesMK -> Yes, you don’t forget the third “Great”

#470

With the empennage… I don’t know if this word exist in english…

#471

other view with the “empennage” hahahahaha

#472

I hope to finish the entire modeling of this ship… the Rapid’Dragon in the next night… remain me some support to place, the 2 wings… all the cables… 2 seats… the rockets… the old spot lights… and I think that will be ok…

After, I don’t know if I start the texture or if I start to model the pilot of this ship… a Dragon of the Army…

#473

I like this. But I am thinking that there need to be more future ideas mixed with Old inventions.More like Star wars, maybe more technology for space opera. This is more like late 1500’s than 1800’s I am thinking.Still this is very good work.

#474

Thanks for this comment Leesee, but I don’t want to a too literal ideau of this subject… a lot of interpretation here are very near the Star Wars Style… and I prefer to do something different… and there is this something a little bit different… it can give too much pleasure… and it’s for me the first challenge… and if these pictures agree a lot of people here, the second challenge will be win too. The results of the contest are an another story

#475

wow ur premitive flying machines were always very facinating to me… seems like u can really fly those… amazing work mate… ur style rocks… keep up the great works…

#476

It’s more and more funny lemog!

Quelle imagination débordante… (la flemme d’ouvrir le dico :D)

It will be hard to pilot

#477

This thread just continues to put a smile on my face… I adore your models:applause:

#478

Overcontrast -> Thanks man… I hope your always facinating by the next one… the third ship will arrive soon… :bounce:
Jeff -> And you, your “brevet” will be for when ? you see my friend, me too, I don’t open much time a dictionnary… huhuhuhuhuhuhu

Gunilla -> If you are happy, I’m happy… In fact, it’s the first reason I’m here…

#479

I have to stop the “brevet” because of my study :’( :’( I only have time to fly during the summer holiday IF the weather is beautiful and IF i don’t have a second session (i don’t mind but we don’t know :D)… And it cost too much if i can go often fluying… :’(

Wait to see it textured, very good detailing, remember me a little a time machine…

en tout cas ça repose les yeux
