Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Jorge Lescale Muciño

#241

Hey Suckerpunch fartswell needs a bodyguard Jorge…bring that bad boy over to my universe…Suckerpunch does’nt pay well, and he can be quite the bastard, but he will let your warrior ride on the steel steed, and cause trouble for the Wee steambots. That can be fun, those poor lil’Steambots…By the way…cool flexible fingers, nice rigging…Looking real nice Jorge.Love the pose, keep the eye candy coming, bring it strong Jorge…:arteest: :arteest:

#242

Great pose  He needs a bumpmap on his nipples  No, seriously…

Looking grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

#243

man I worry about you,

Jorge, I have only played ounce or twice with a friends bow, but I don’t believe the hand pulling the string back is positioned correctly

Lemog:

I know what your warrior want… to kill Alexander and his Rapid’Dragon…
lol…yes indeed…he will be hunting him …but rapid dragon is too fast for him
thanx for your words man!!

Virtuoso:bodyguad?..lol…that sound interesting…imagine this friends together!! sounds great isnt it?..okok…but he really want to ride the steel steed ok?
thanx for the support friend…u always here:)

JamesMK:thanx friend…lol youre right about nipples…i forgot to add the bump for them…thanx…ill do it…

flyingP:yes im with u …the hand should face more to the neck…but i cant make the arm bones twist correctly for this purpose…and the arm suffers an ulgy deformation…twist your arm and u can see how your wrist and bones of the arm twist…this is what i cant achieve with the biped im using…if u have a clue on how to solve that i will really apreciate the help…thanx for the advice man:love:

#245

actually I have seen a number of rigs that solve this usually using extra bones in the forearm and a xpression that controlls their banking movement, in other words bones in the arm closer to the wrist twist more but the elbow stays stable… not sure if that helps

#246

Yeah, that’s a tricky nut to crack… thank god for low-poly toony characters  … otherwise I guess the pig makes a good suggestion. Another way is to add an FFD deformer or similar to the part controlled by the lower arm bone (the bone would also be the parent of the deformer), twist the lower bone until the hand lines up as intended, then repair the damage done using the FFD and finally set up an expression that drives the FFD influence based on the banking of the lower arm bone.

yes that helps a lot friend!!! thanx…i thought that maybe biped can make this with out creating extrabones…but i think i must do it the way u told me… really thanx!

#248

JamesMK: hmmm interesting idea…sounds cool from my point of view…i will try that …thanx for the help…:bounce:

#249

Though I would certainly try the Pig’s suggestion first. He has after all more experience with rigging than I do :wise:

You’re character modelling is outstanding; the color pallette on your textures are very rich! I especially like how you have designed those various ships, particularly the smaller fighter jet. The level of creativity is nothing short of amazing. Keep up the great work and best of luck in the challenge!

#251

does not mean that I know what I am talking about though :wise:

#252

TKraccoon: thanx for your words…im happy to read those very nice words!!

flyingP,JamesMK: i think both suggestions will work very good…thanx a lot for the support mates!!

#253

No, but your blind guesswork sounds more realistic than mine

#254

First time on this thread. Your stuff is great. Can’t wait to see where you’re going. :applause:

Yeah! Looking very very good rattlesnake.

If I might suggest something… what about some light arrows like that “thing” in his head!!!

Great job my friend!

#258

Stunned when I opened your thread to see that archer…you have been working some long hours I see…well …the results are just great…Inspiring to ME

#259

Rattlesnake your entry is looking great. Nice style you got going for you there. Really like the ships. They have a little starcraft feel to em (which is a good thing). Love the amount of details in them.
Have you thought about adding some normal mapping to them if you computer starts crunching?

Nice character design too. I’ll be watching this thread 4 sure
