#76

Lovely robot - looks like he wants a hug  Great style you got going here - looking forward to see where this goes, keep it up!

#77

looking good man. I think going the B/W route works well for your concept.

#78

Great design i loved them all the robot, the aliens, the tank, the saucer great style
great concept design

cant wait to see more of this

more put more:bounce:

#79

haven’t updated in a while. here’s the martian head model, which i’ve zbrushed just a bit.

#80

It is strange to see threads where there is nothing to crit or to change:shrug:
I like him! And all your work. I’ll be waiting for something that I could advice:bounce:

#81

woooo!! Another Amazing work, everything is good!! no comments!

#82

Awesome… I love the 50’s feel and I’m you can pull this off in B&W!

Great ship / character designs! Can’t wait to see it finished!

#83

Looks amazing! Not sure I like the eyes though. I’ve never seen a depiction of a “Grey” with whites around the iris…They tend to all have Silver->black eyes or Irises that cover the entire exposed portion of the ball…

#84

modeling / texturing progress. took the advice of toning down the whites of the eyes. i like him better like this.

#85

Hi flinder

I love your Retro style, and lighting, maybe space suit could be a bit brighter, over all it looks fantastic, cant wait to see the finished work,

I liked the old eyes you had on your alien… very Tim Burton “Mars Attacks”-esque. I think the darker eyes make this piece seem a little more serious than maybe you’re going for?

Just a thought…

Looking great overall though!

#87

whoa… the alien looks wicked man… the black and white really sells it… good call!

I like the eyes, so much life… he’s almost like a cross btwn ET and those aliens from Mars attacks… hehe

amazing work man

#88

Extremelly wicked details on this model man… Hadn’t seen this thread before… Good luck with the contest…

#89

modeling / texturing progress on the hero model.

#90

looking good, my only comments is about the arms. they look too rubbery and I think they are out of proportion as well. There are 3 finguers that look like they are broken. One more thing, the knees look a bit too sharp, but it could just be the angle… I don’t know how much of the character will be seen in your scene tho.

#91

completely re-worked the body model of the earth guy. he is, i think, in much better proportion now. i’m not a huge fan of the current detailing (straps, etc) on him. i’m going to re-work that as well.

using references kinda helps.

#92

LOL!

Looks much better. I think that the feet might be too long and the heels need to be a bit more prominent. There is still something with the hands… I dunno, maybe the finguers are too long…

#93

much better. i re-worked all the extra suit details. i feel this is a bit truer to 50’s sci-fi costumes (and to my original concept sketch) than the first model.

i’m going to try getting his head finalized next.
