Two planets close together, one barren the other fruitful, and colonized, but for how long do these two worlds share such close proximty? And what will happen to those that live on the living world? Will these twins tear themselves apart or collide, and when?

#3

Sounds like it will be a very interesting work. After having a look at the sketch I get the impression that the viewpoint is on the fertile planet. Have I got this the right way around?

#4

nice storyline and great layout can’t wait to see the first steps int he modeling

#5

Looks like you already have the whole thing pictured in your mind. I look foreward to seeing how close the finished product matches the sketch.

#6

Correct, viewpoint is on the living world which btw is densely covered with trees and waterfalls,(a dilemma for modeling), my modeling isn’t top notch but I have the cities partially done, however they reside on rock outcroppings in the forests, so I’m trying to work that out. Lighting will be another pain…hey the concept was easy, getting to look like the drawing that’s a horse of a different color…=)

#7

working on terrains and lifeforms next the city may change I’m not really sure it’s finished or complete, the buildings will be moved to conform to the rock outcroppings they are built on.

#8

another angle

#9

partially completed, maybe…

Very intersting look .

This really gives me a feeling of islamic art. You should check outhttp://www.metmuseum.org/Works_Of_Art/department.asp?dep=14

I think it could give you some intersting referance for your comp.

Addtionally just an idea why not make the sun in your scene eclisped?? Something from the most profound of my soul tells me that that sun should be dark sourrounded by a ring of fire.

Although the image is appealing, I find it lacks in any human emtion or drama. What do you plan to do to introduce more emotive elements in this work???

#11

Not sure yet, thinking about a super big solar storm to blast the planets…

#12

Zhann, that looks good, but I have a different gripe, besides the drama/focus thingy.

The buildings are the same. It would be good if you randomized them a bit. That is, use two of these for towers and … something like your flowerpots for different buildings.

#13

Nice concept but you have to work it more! The competition is very hard this time!
