Hey everyone @ CGtalk i am new and lets just say that i am saving my firt post for this contest :stuck_out_tongue:

ill first start explaining my idea,
itā€™s not like a lot of the other ideas in the sky but on the ground @ some sort of base
for fighther crafts (how knows what thathā€™s gona be :D),
it willl have crafts and explosions and so on (since the base is under attack)
and the funny part is i have never ever created both of them in 3D =)
so itā€™s going to be fun to find that out.

i will post a scetch as soon as possible.

(by the way iā€™am using 3Ds max6)

the rush is gone and a clear idea has been formed :lightbulb
so i am exited :bounce:

a change of story line , iĀ’t not going to be a attack on a base but on a settlement of friendly unarmed aliens (letĀ’s just say the good guys) called the Tharecs (how knows why)
they life on a nice (friendly looking planet) you know birds, bees, trees every thing in nice looking colors lotĀ’s of (strange looking) green stuff.
the settlement housing is made after a idea i got from african mudhouses (ill post concept sketch asap)
the Tharecs life in a agrarian culture (is that right used babelfish :shrug: ) so there will be some sort of weed and farming thing or some thing.

the idea is that this will illustrate a important day in the history of this part of the galaxy since it was the first time (neurtal, unarmed) friendly folks where attacked by the new
(from a nother galaxy) alien species how dont care for peace ;)(called Halocks :buttrock: )
ill be sticking to this idea so ill post sketches of the aliens, houses, ships and all this before the end of the this day, now I will go back to earth and just do my job (DTP) (for school)

fist idea for the Tharecs transport it is a very simple craft, because just like the Tharecs are simple peaceful aliens.
the 3d drawing sucks cant help it
but i wanted to try using pencil so deal with it :stuck_out_tongue:

I like that concept about a ā€˜niceā€™ planet and a ā€˜coldā€™ planet! Iā€™m looking forward to see something 3D :slight_smile: . BTW: for that explosions I saw a nice tut today on Julien VANHOENACKERā€™s site: CLICK

and ill post a 3D model asap, but iā€™am currently working on 3 websites/design for school
so i only have a few hours of time a day to model :sad:

This is the ā€œstyleā€ all my houses are gona be very organic, so lots of round shapes.

To do list (house)

  • add door
  • add more detail
  • texturing
  • maybe add interior

thx and yes the orange yellow looks kiddy, but the otherone stil needs a lot of work.
i havenā€™t desided what iā€™m gona do kiddy or something else, just wait :smiley:

ooh yeah and that last wrong post was a rush job since i had to go but just wanted to post it, and when i go to fast i make misstakes. :banghead:

btw ill post new houses (maybe with textures at the end of the day)
im still @ work atm.

Your design of this hoses are very nice, itā€™s remember me tath Starwars village when Anakin Skywalker and his mother lives. The color cause on me a sensation with it are meded of ice.

Are you thinking to texturate this hoses like this image of ā€œice vulcansā€?
Maybe it are be great whit this textures, but the hoses are great in anyway. :applause:

Are you thinking to do some village image with this? I cant wait to see.

and yes there are comming more of them in a village kind a way,
and about the texturing iā€™am still not sure wheather i should go with a ice look
our dark brown, yellow earthy looking stuff.

this is the update just worked on this for about one hour made a new craft too very round see the zoom view for mor info.
