#721

…yes i understand   …that’s the reason among XSI and MAYA i still keep a pc around…man i hope this will be released for MAC OSX soon …This game i think has it all…even ideas for a challenge…lol

…but hey i am getting ready a server in work for UT2004 and it will be dedicated to cgtalk members…i just have to gather some hardware and talk to the administrator in my work…after that i will announce it here…hopefully. :bounce:

#722

Wooohh… very cool. He looks awfully intimidating. And yep, the nose ring is perfect!

#723

The ring idea came from your nuts avatar man…i just don’t have ears on my model shown so i took the nose road :scream:

#724

Bwaahaa! Well, it works mate… it works.

#725

sounds good  …of course I’ll kick your butt though

#726

Hey Dimi, just checking in and man are you making progress! That warrior dude is looking meaner by the minute! One minor suggestion would be to sculpt his throat muscles a bit more, really accentuate them. Keep it up!

/Anders

#727

hi! i follow your work from previous challenge and see that you are work very hard!! and your work has awesome detail nothing to crits…

#728

Cool modeling on the character Dim !
In my opinion, and it’s only my opinion, the inner borders of the nose seem too sharp to me…
Less organic than the other parts of the head…

#729

Hi lord of replies 728
 Great Grana guy Fantastic modeling and style
u r real FASTTTttt…art creator

#730

Some more work on this guy …

#731

#732

@ flyingP …we shall see …har har …

@ Cartesius …you are right …but until i finish his armour i won’t change anything on the neck cause i don’t know yet how visible will ths be…but i will anyway fix it in a version of this guy i am going to work on after the challenge…so thanks for the advice my friend :bounce:

@ monsitj hi !..i have seen your concepts man and if u manage to transfer all that details in 3d we don’t have a chance at all…heheh…thank u friend.

@ gpepper …thank u friend…this i will fix soon …although i don’t know if this detail will be visible…but i will do it 'cuase it seems to strike out in the eye very much (Engrish…lol)

@ SUN …728…so i past 7-11…:scream: :scream: …thank u friend…

#733

yes, relly nice Dimi! the last update looks very nice, one of your best characters that I’ve seen so far.

I have a few nitpicks(but still not as I think the eyes are the most important part of a caharacter)
I think that the eyelids could use more work. they look very thin and fragile. real ones are thick and fatty.
also the corner of the eye(outside of the eye), looks really to thin… put more flesh there. just push that part out a little, as its usually a bone under that part(atleast right next to it)

oh one last thing. if I where you(I wish I was… ofcourse  ) I would have defined the sternocleidomastoideus muscle(m@ told me how to spell that word, he knows all parts of the body in latin and french) more, like it is on you humans(as the rest of him(except proportions) are made after human anatomy) it’s hard to tell if u made it now.

shit I used to much ( ) ( ) ()()))()() hope you still understand

#734

It’s good to see you are still working on this, I thought you were almost done while I was starting my concept sketches.

I like what you did with the composition and the creature looks great.

Rock on.

#735

Before I read The Comments I have The Same critic on Your Character.

#736

 …can I borrow the shoulder pads ?

#737

They’re not borrows, this is his arms… ok… I leave

Seriously…(if it’s possible with me…)(my poor wife don’t have a lot of chance to have a man like me you know…),
the little-special-thing-potatoedisturbingwildsquirrels of the nose is not too much important for me… I think with the texture, that will be perfect (in any case, if it will be not perfect… you will not my friend… I will change for… JamesWabbit by exemple:argh: ) And if I have understand all (that… it’s no really sure…), this buddy is not totally an human like us ? He have the right to have some difference… hahahahahahaha…

#738

wahaha, got to love that heavy French accent :argh:

#739

Oh my god… you better get it right Dimitris :scream: I like what you did to his shoulders there, really underlines his bad-assedness (that’s certainly a nifty word)

#740

I have been away for a few days and catching up with your thread is quite a task…Your compo is quite involved, and I like your layout/placement/angles etc, etc…very nice bad arse warrior there…A cross between a human and creature from my point of view…I think I could suggest the eyes to be larger, more open with larger lids…I dont care for the nostrils somehow,a taste thing, but perhaps the way you have them done is more ape like intentionally,so keeping this in mind this than does work…

In either case your attitude and passion are great, and it shows in your art…Keep it up Dimi, you should be proud of your results already…:buttrock:
