Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Dean Ivatchkovitch

Hey Dean,
You did a good job on the sketches, I didn’t spend much time at all on my sketches , maybe I should have , yours look great.
The actual characters look very nice, they are very different from each other and go with your story line of different strengths coming together to fight the larger evil.
Good job so far. No real dislikes or things jump out at me with the concepts.Looking forward to the modeling and more concepts.

The Thief race with eyes os a cat, long and sensible ears, fast and furtive.

#12

Hey Dean,
Is this the last character , you’re going to have a lot of modeling to do. I find characters tough to model . Anyways the last character is fine , I think the transition from head(neck) to the shoulders area is a little too contrasting.
Nice job.

Wow, some really nice work on the concepts here, my favourite would have to be the scientist race, very nice design, glad i’m not the one who has to model him though. Chuckle.

As for the overall concept it could become a very powerful image, my first thought would be to have some semblance of the battle in the background, maybe in the skies above or something along those lines, just thinking of ways to make it seem “bigger”.

Can’t wait to see the finished scientist, so very cool.

Dave.

The brutal fighter

#15

Yes mike the modelling and texturing process will be a hard work…but i´ll try it.
Thanks for the observation on my thief character…i´m not sure how to make his clothes…maybe i´ll make him with crocodile skin type !

#16

the begining od model after 4 hours of modeling

#17

watch that seem but otherwise pretty cool model you got there.

#18

that scientist slightly remains me of beavis and butthead… , mainly because of really high forehead, and funky mouth shape…

#19

The volume preview of the scientist body. More four hours of modeling

#20

The scientist modeling process continues, now I did his body, his flying platform and his arms…there are several details to work on and new pieces os the mechanical part of his body

#21

HAHAHAHAHA, thats wasn´t the idea, but you are right !!! But there is no problem with that, maybe the beavis and butthead was aliens from somewhere out there!

#22

Hey Dean,
The model of the Scientist dude is coming along fine. You are doing a good job so far.

#23

they DO look alien…

#24

Wow man, that model is coming along very nicely, very tough shape but you’re doing really well. The organic parts are looking flabby and organic and the mech parts are looking nice and mechy… Good job.

Dave

#25

Adding details to the scientist model.
Now i have mo detailed body, the plataform with more mechanical stuffs and the lower part of the platform, the floating mass

#26

It´s the begining of the Diplomat alien race modeling

#27

The Diplomat Alien Race´s face is almost done.

Someone have a modeling sugestion?

#28

Dean,
The diplomat looks good too, I like the finished scientist guy. On the diplomat there is a seam or verticle crease on the top of the forhead. Don’t know if this can be minimized or not.
