Hi Im Clemente Gomez. I am 16 years old. I want to wish everyone good luck in the challenge.

Anyway, Im making a quick concept right now as I type this. I’ll have it up in a few minutes. Im still torn between to ideas. One, is a total space scene where a fleet of space ships heading to a planet to engage in War. Another one is an epic battle on an unknown planet of strange races/Robots. fighting for survival. And so many more. Hopefully I can choose soon so I can start modeling.

Hope to see some excellent work.

1st concept of a race of organic Robots taking over another planet. The black squares represent the Robots. The white dots on the plant represent the defending race. As you can see I’m not that great of a 2d Artist, but hope the concept gets across.

There aren’t too many details to comment on yet, but I like the difference in scale you have set up. Really huge things vs. swarms of really small things could be interesting, like a buch of little insects attacking something big.

The planets both look like Earth. you might want to consider making them really different. Maybe each planet could resemble it’s forces in some way.

Hrms. Yeah, I’d suggest making the planet in the background either a gas giant, or moon-like. But other than that, I like the almost orderly flow of the black vessels, contrasted with the chaotic disorganization of the small white one.

I like seeing the progression from one planet to the next. Cool idea. Keep an eye on your scale if you plan to use Earth as a planet in your piece. Most folks will notice how far say Mars is from Earth, and the distance vs. scale issue of identical ships in the FG and BG. Keep on rockin and good luck.

Thanks for the comments. Just for reference, this planwe isnt Earth, Ill provide a story later tomorrow when I have some free time. In this concept, I changed the view of the piece. I like this view better, also I fixed some of the scalling issues, Still pretty rough. But tell me what you think. Which view is better?

The Echroma’s are a robotic race. They are have advanced machinery and technology. Everything on the planet is run,owned and built by robots. Their Home Planet is “The Infrastructure”. Since there planet is primarily made of metal and asteroid parts. They are constantly in need of resources. They send scouts out to search for a suitable planet that has enough resources for them to survive for atleast another 50-100 years. Once they have found a suitable planet. They prepare for a Planetary Takeover.

The Canorgi’s are an alien race. Not much is known about them. Except that they have a good enviornment. Some suggest that they are also great scientists, due to the nature of there planet and their weapons. Their planet is called " Pearl ".

My scene depicts the Echroma’s embarking on a suprise Planetary Takeover of Pearl. But unaware to the Echroma’s, The Canorgi have already planned thier defense.

Thanks, I hope to get the concepts of the elements done this weekend while I have the use of a scanner. Hopefully I can get a better detailed concept up soon. Thanks again.

FInally started some modelling. I will post more concept images once I can get my hands on a scanner. Here is a basic model of the Echroma Mothership. I still need to add alot to it before it starts to look unique.
