Hello everybody!

I’m fairly new to the cg community, so this is my first try to post anything. After much observation on cgtalk forum, i saw the new challenge…and i thought i give it a try…
This image is one of my concept sketches i’ve been doing, more are coming.

ps. Remember i am a newbie…so take it easy on me :slight_smile:

Let me explain what i got in mind.
I have several idea’s but it’s hard to pick one.

Idea: A lonely space tourist (fleeing) from a hostile planet
Idea: A massive battle! (but a bit overdone)
Idea: A symbolic First contact
Idea: B Huge tower that stretches from the surface to the stratosphere where perhaps a mothership can land or dock.

I already started to model a privately owned ship in the sense of your own car. Many people do ship designs that belong to a faction or a group in their own creation. So i think anyway it wont be too crowdy or chaotic. YES peace man:love:

Ok this is a test render of a (scout-frigate-touristclass) This one is actually not from the initial sketch that i’ve submitted. The mothership needs tweaking, so that’ll come later.

Looks good man…

There are some minor edge problems with the mesh, but the overall design is pretty good.

Nice ship sketch and modeling too!

Those springs are a bit odd, everything else is fine

Those springs are not properly aligned, because it’s a test render. Didn’t notice that, thank you. And those springs are actually translucent warp coils…or something like that:)
