This is the other version, but it misses something… gonna fix it and post again…
Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Boris Rizov
hey really great man… i like where ur goin… u got some nice modleing goin on…keep it up man… ![]()
Lookin good, have you consider some raising flames and lots of particles? i know it is just test for the magma, but maybe some dark areas on the surface will give more this boiling rocks feeling, remember they are creating planets
Good to come back and see your progress! thumbs up!
overcontrast: thanks for the support man! I’ll do my best
Climax: Well I haven’t thought about anything yet… but I’ll probably put some particles
should look cool
thanks!
Borro …man this is starting to take really good shape… In the side of your ship u can add a lot of details and in the texture proccess… when i saw your last image …somehow in my mind the pic of the planet was a bit different …i will try to find the image and show it to ya:) :bounce: …now…chop …chop …more
Thanks Dimi. Can’t wait to see that image of yours :)… I actually am going to concenrate on texturing and FX… that way I will create an impressive image without overheating the oven(the computer lol). Cuz every time i try to do something with more detail my machine crashes… But this time I’ll just use lots of after FX techniques
Hi Boris…I like to see you continue.Your efforts are paying off.Looking good.I think that after FX techniques is a great idea, good to hear you are thinking along those lines…Keep at it,complete this as you have planned,it will be something for you to be proud of.Keep at it,it’s coming along well…:arteest:
Thanks Virtuoso
I’m happy that someone whos work is so great says something good about me lol. I’ll keep modeling and hopefully I’ll end up with a image which will atleast be close to my pro-idea
great updates Boris !
especially i like cannon… looks great! ![]()
keep it digging mate and cheers…
Hi,
I love your story idea and I think it’s perfect of the subject. Like your modeling too. The only thing I would say about the models is that they might be a little rough around the edges. And because of the sharp corners, they might not catch light very well. SO, just keep that in mind. I can see you like working on tiny details that wont be seen in the final…but that is ok with me. As long as you are enjoying what your doing and you get the best possible outcome. Good luck, peace
Looking for more Borro…Looking very good, you have a nice plan, and some nice work, you should see this to the finishI will be watching,All the best to you…![]()
Here’s a hint of the progress
Just added stars for the fun of it lol. Ok soon I’ll post a big update
TUTORIAL: Well Elfo it’s pretty simple actually :). And here’s how you do it: Create a cylinder with 2 cap segments 50 sides and about 60 or 70 height segs. Now add the UVW map modifier to the cylinder and choose XYZ to UVW. Then add the volume select modifier with face in the selection level and texture map turned on. Then under the texture map sign theres a button none, click on it and select Noise, instance the material to the material editor and give it size 1, high 0.5 and low 0.2. Then add Noise modifier to the cylinder scale 10, fractal turned on and set the x,y and z values to 5. Now create a PArray and pick the cylinder as an emiter with following stuff changed: use rate = 20, speed 0, variation 15, size 10, var 30%, meta particles, tension 1 and thats it… Oh and add a gravity space warp with direction opposite of the direction of the beam. Thats it…
Now most of this is a part of a tutorial I read a while ago: it’s from xenomorfic.co.uk. The tutorial is written by Pete Draper. Now all invented was the material and the meta-particles part… Thanks for reading
