I think that’s gonna be a problem for everybody… I’ve already seen things that some might consider rip-offs, or they’re too close for comfort. It’s gonna be tough to create something really original, that’s for sure.

I really like the concepts though, keep it up!

well I updated it a bit, I think I’ll probably not use the model in the final scene because it’s way too close to that eve-online ship, I’ve updated it anyways, but it’s still too close.

Next up I’m going to sketch some on the actual scene and see how much diffrent ships I’ll have to use for it, before I start making useless models again.

yeah, but I wouldnt worry about it, I like both of your concepts :smiley:

that second one looks a bit like the Atron class frigate from eve online

But it should be more than ok, the first ship of yours is a bit different than the Merlin as the wings are shorter and it doesnt have an extension on the top. The second one is much leaner than the Atron.

you think? I don’t see the comparison with the Atron ship at all, but the first ship -really- looks like the merlin and that pisses me off bigtime :\

well the picture and angle is not that good, but its not nearly as similar as the merlin and your concept. So dont worry about the second ship :slight_smile:

okay so here’s the new plan:
I don’t have a story yet, but please bear (grr, a bear?) with me.
The scene will be a BEAUTIFULL city, all light shiny with a perfect blue sky, but then a couple of -huge- ships floating in the air drawing attention from people while they’re underway for the main military centre to kick it’s ass or w/e, while in the meanwhile having fun while wrecking some buildings in the city or something.

how does it sound? :bounce:

good job so far, the more brainstorming the better, gives you a wide idea pool to pull things out of and piece together to make that final image.
