Thanks for the comments, peoples!
shadowstarre-i think i get what you’re saying, and i would follow through with your suggestion, but the initial sketch’s perspective was way off. the more refined sketch is more accurate as far as the perspective goes. Whether I decide on using precise straight lines is still up for debate. i’m just happy i’ve got the perspective going
element5 + gordonm- thanks!
Jason- haha. yeah, i’m still trying to figure out if i should have little people on the bottom of the image or if i should go with my original idea of having a kid waking up in his bed and witnessing the chaos. hmmmm!!! but godzilla belongs somewhere in the image
jeroentje-thanks for pointing out the whole falling thing! i wouldn’t have been able to notice that myself!
Hillartsympho- i’ll be sure to work on the lower area. i’m still not sure what kind of colors i’ll be using, aside from the sky. i’m pretty much set on using a light blue violet/ yellow-orange gradient. it’s supposed to take place during sunrise
–I was hoping I’d be able to stick with this concept/composition, but seeing how it was my first concept, I thought I’d try making some thumbnails in class on Monday morning. I came up with a thumbnail that I liked.
It features more characters than the concept I’ve shared so far. It’s in a crappy state right now, so I’ll try to post a non-crappy doodle sometime today once I get my homework done (:(). It’s 6am! Time to get some rest!–
