This is not a graphic wonder, i know. But its a sort of sketch that they make on those glass screens where the lines have a luminosity, you know what I mean.
Its a plan to summon a planetdestroyer (they think its satan, but its not) out of a black hole.

Not my kind of fantasy, but I’ll give it a try.

welcome to the fray!

oooh. blackholes have always been a stimulant of my curiousity, and are a rich source of mystery. with skill you’ll be able to capture that very well in your final piece.

very nice concept, just one piece of advice: do your research, black holes are still a freaken confusing thing to explain physically, but there is information out there that will definately help you visually represent something accurate, and help you present something that is also fantastical (if thats what you are aiming for, of course)

best of luck. oh, and DONT PANIC!

#4

This is the planetdestroyer, but its not very controlable, so i think it will attack everything it sees.

#5

thats well good! i can see it have a very strong sense of doom, and if thats what you’re aiming for, then nice!

just curiously, what kind of state are you thinking of having the PD? in otherwords, have you thought of him being etheral to a certain extent?

#6

Thanks for the advice.

And it PD will be betheen flesh and gas and enegry, its changes shape al the time.

#7

That sketch looks awesome! I really like that style! I’m quite curious how you managed making it… Is it digital painted?

Also that concept sounds interesting…! I’m gonna follow this thread along the production, very close, I think :bounce:

Good luck!, Gijs

#8

nice! just what i was hoping to hear!

#9

Very nice concept. Are those ships that are summoning it, or something shooting out of the black hole with it?

#10

yep those things are summoning it, (but that its not how they will look) there will be more installations (to change the atmosfhere arond the hole, I calling it a Black Hole, but that’s not realy what it is; this hole doesn’t atract all the time, they are holes in reality in a mather of speaking). There will also be knights watching the thing come out. I’m going for a midevil style, because that where I think we are going back to (maybe not figurativly, but geographicly and social, …) I think I’m reinventing the Englisch language here, sorry.

Aha The flying Dutchman (‘den vliegende Hollander’ voor de vrienden)
but do you mean the first sketch? That is made with painter classic and I added an effect in photoshop (deffuse glow, I think) thats all.
The second is a pencilsketch on whit paper made negative digitaly, just to get the black space. Not really important.

Thanks for the comment.

Wow I have a great picture in my mind of how that creature could look. I think the concept is sound, and the hardest part will be getting across the vast sense of scale.

#14

Dang, I hate when that happens!
Wonderfully grotesque sketches, De Vlaming!
I’ll look forward to seeing how this all comes together!

Looks good, don’t forget the sense of scale. Judging from the last sketch I think you can push that sense a little further. Show more depth, open it up more.

#16

Nice sketches, although I dont get the space opera feeling, for some reason.

Good luck man!

#17

Yeah, that s a good comment, 2kre8. But the big problem is that I have a little lack of time. I have to let school come first. I’ll do my best.
Moon Dragon: I know what you mean, but in further sketches you wil see the role of these drawings.
thanks Walrus.
