This. Lowered the sway, tried to make it feel less like goldylocks.
Grand Space Opera 2D Entry: Branko Bistrovic
Expanded on it. I like the fact that the horn/hair is disjointed and disconnected, but flows in union. Almost seems to represent the instability of the omnipotent deity. Sort of like, if you were close enough you wouldn’t even realize that those were some sort of body parts but when you zoom out and take in the whole picture, as we are, then it smack you in the gizard. It’s sort of an unsettling thought, to thing that we can be so unaware of our reality.

Here is his pretty bottom without any ehad piece at all, should have shown this first, sorry.
Well, now that I’ve posted all of those I can get back to working more on it. Any crits by any who are actualy looking at this thread would be kindly welcomed, check you later.

It’s a bit hard to tell if I like a head piece at this point. It’s still very sketchy. I know I didn’t like the goldilocks one. I think an ornamental head piece would look nice on your character along with other ornamental trinkets. It can show status whether you mean him to look important or beggar like. Nice character sketches!
Good Luck

I have a few more updates to show that I didn’t feel like posting earlier. Have also been working on the sinews of the body, etc and the Nebula. The space born civilization, covered by the hand.
BlueEyeLizard, thank you for the comments, I realize I’m going to have to ask for some more opinions if I want to push myself. Maybe make a post in the generals section. I’ll show you the head piece/horns in a full body shot, but first to the ships!
I Put some tiny ships in and defined the shape more… not sure if I like the abundance of tiny ships, or just that they look so flakey/soft at this point.
Here is the way I worked up the nebula. Dont’t like it so far, and I really don’t think I like the green… you’ll see what I mean.
And here it is in full mode.
I\'m tryinjg to shape it so that it circles the eye of the viewer back into the composition. Here, let me illuserate.
(sheesh, I keep picking \“final coloring\” by accident over and freaking over!)
Some more… though I’m sincerly not sure if I like it. I’m trying to portray a sort of drifting feel for the strands of power/eternity(whatever you wish). I think it might be too dense and high up,Definitely too blury. Does anyone know if Painter actually has a sharpening tool? I’ve looked around but can’t seem to find anything in the manual nor the forums… I’m loving this program, but have just started to use it… great timing I know…shut it!
This is with the ships… well, now that I have the bloody time on hands, I’ve been working like a Mofo at it. Sometimes things come together real smooth, other times it take 5 hours to try and figure out a head piece that in the end you are still unsure of… grrr, anyways, time to go make some crits myself, and also maybe make a call for help.
P.S. I’m not sure if i like the ships so big… more compensation?.. Maybe…

Conceptually, I liked this layout much more than your current image. It has a much more interesting visual appeal and dynamic to it. I didn’t look through your full thread (just peeked at the entries on CGNetworks) so sorry, I can’t give a more thorough critique at the moment.
Good luck ![]()
That makes me want to cry… I will have to go have some serious soul searching now… alright, so it’s going to have to be on the toilet, but still, I have to reconsider this… anyone else think the same?
Thank you Kirt…sob

Cue the rocky music…
Anyways, I’ve gotten the opinions of a few other friends and over much discussion they agree, the other concept is more dynamic and interesting… here I go again.
