Hi everyone, this is my first challenge so i am as many others really excited about this one :slight_smile: I ve never painted any space scenes, so this will be my first space painting. I dont like starting with line art and i decided to stuck with only one concept so i can fully concentrate on this one. The idea is “Invasion of Earth” and i called it “Invasion I”. Here is my first sketch: alien mother ship approaching Earth, the planet in bottom i guess will be the Moon, the first idea was to make the Sun, but i guess the Earth will be too small in perspective. Ill put some fighter ships flying around the mothership as next step i guess, may some resizing to make the earth fit better in picture. However, any comments and suggestions are WELCOME! And yes, GOOD LUCK TO ALL ARTISTS!

I guess i will post in small steps, here is a little update, adding detail - this is exactly the size im working right now, i will be resizing after puting all the stuf in its place. Comments and critics, please :slight_smile:

I defenately dig the color use, tho you could darken the sun a bit - add more orange to the color you’re using. the ship looks good for now, but adding way more detail should be a priority :slight_smile:

you can get some pretty interesting cold/warm lightning with this composition :)!

Concept for fighter with selfdestruct ability. Blue names on sketches - good guys, red - bad guys. More to come…

Thank you for suggestions, i will stuck with space battle composition, but i guess will throw away Invasion of the earth - its too old and used theme IMHO.

Yes, you need more compisition, but your still forming your ideas, keep it coming!
