#62

How do you…? Man, that’s just awesome! I’m watching

#63

great work on the ships interesting insect feel to them.

#64

Fantastic work!
I’m just waiting for your final entry!

Hey guys , this was done a while ago , but I thought that an overal approach to airtonian technology would be quite the same : big wings , big spaces , huge open structure engines etc.

To answer your questions:

I usually work on paper , sketching it roughly with ball pen or prismacolor 30% cool grey. Then I ether color it mith markers to the max or move on to computer right away. After that its dodge/ burn , brushes and airbrushes with various modes. You may have seen my non-concept related work , its all about details.
About the composition , Im thinking ether a low perspective where the observer is standing in the middle of the explosion caused by the Divesian detonator . I think that a scene of a huge circular water drop with a city on a horison would be quite dramatic.

Wow, Vida your work is amazing! I have seen many, many 3d renders that do not have the balance, grace, and skill of your 2d concepts. My bets are currently on you for an award.

Great, great stuff. Thank you so much for sharing. Your an inspiration man!

#67

Wow, that’s really throwing down the gauntlet ViDA. Colour, composition, mood, design…all outstanding.

#68

ViDA, oh yes that’s working for me! Kind of has a matrix / aquanox / hardwar feel to it which is no bad thing. I’m finding myself wanting something to break up the greeny yellow palette a bit, maybe some complementary reddy blues somewhere. It’s very very good, though!

… now I’m always impressed at the skill and effort 3D work involves, I’ll always acknowledge that, but give me 2D artwork over 3D every time. The mind of a talented artist is the most advanced renderer I know.

#69

ViDA…Wow as I peel my jaw up off the floor. Inspiring A++. No crits from me. I just wanna see MORE!! LOL

#70

Your last sketch is brilliant good harmony of the colors…

#71

Hi ViDA,

There is no doubt - Your space ship scetches are extraordinary convincing.
What you need is defenetly a compositon or an establishing shot to tell the story behind your great ship-designs. I´m really looking forward to watch developing your Grand Space Opera.
