nice ships. :open_mouth: .cant wait to see them in the completed scene

#22

This ship is penetrating the water , deploying the smaller fighters.

#23

sweet sketch ya got there … almost looks finished as it is … so how small are the little ones in comparison to the mother ship?? …

beautiful:)

#24

hey these are REALLY good ! and this latest one is the
best with it’s smooth-flowing form and most excellent detail.
That metallic sheen u get is so cool . How long did it take to
do this last one ? How about in general ?
That fighter is really cool too , your finished stuff must be
awesome.

#25

HI !
Great ships you have here. I subscribe to this thread. I think final will be great when we see those concepts.
NIce quick textures, lights and shadows…yep. I wait for the next step.

#26

Those are beyond sick!

If this are merely concepts… god almightly what type of INSANE quality will the finished piece look like!!! :argh: :applause:

this thread is sooooooo subscribed too!

Thanks guys , these sketches take about from an hour to 2-3 , on and off from the blank sheet of paper to the digital image.

The final image is going to be tricky . This is what I have in mind :

There are 2 civilisations on this planet . One is on the elevated surface / in the sky (Airtonians) , and another one is underwater (Divesians) . Due to the wast differences of these 2 they were never in good relations with each other. The most sacred possesions of Divesians are the technology and their ships which they have kept secret for many generations .Somehow Airtonians got a hold of an old vessel that they discovered deep underground during a contruction of the foundation for a new city.

The vessel that is going to be presented hovering above the Airtonian city is an effort to reproduce the technology of Divesians. But what they dont know is that an entire Divesian fleet is sitting duck underwater , waiting for the right moment to spoil the party.

#28

Wow! These concepts are just awesome. I love your idea also. Very cool stuff.

#29

my bets are here.

as has been said many times so far… if these are only concept sketches i shudder to think at how your final piece is going to look…

guess i should pack up and leave right now… :stuck_out_tongue:

#30

Haha - yeah, after seeing this stuff I’m wondering why I even bothered to sign up, myself.

Nice work!

Beautifully executed concepts and designs there vida, despite some of the ‘escheresque’ elements to the nose area of the divesion fighter concept - some of the forms don’t make sense. Individually too, most of the elements and details are very interesting and clearly well-thought out but I’m not sure the design works as a totality - the silouhette for example doesn’t at all read well.
The rest of your designs are far more successful, they’re awesome even, not least your latest. I’m interested in knowing how these pieces will work in a composition but I’m sure you’re getting to that. A strong contender here.

good luck and keep up the inspiring work

those concepts are definately worth of all those ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaaahs’ you can hear if you happen to live in my next to me…

what else can I say, great stuff

#33

Lol if those are just sketches… great stuff. I’m jealous of your technical design abilities. The most recent one is my favorite because of the consistent design. The sunken areas have a socketed, ball joint feel to them that I really like with some almost train like elements on the main body.

The continuation of your search is powerful quickly the
continuation… :applause:

#36

Your concepts and technique are wonderful. Can’t wait to see the scene.
I really dig that blue-ray-sphere-loops (can’t find a better description) of the second concept. I would love to see those integrated in the scene.
Congrats…

#37

wooow, what amazing design you’ve made!! and great technique too! I’m absolutely impressed by your use of curves. What can i say, keep it up and good luck. I think i’ll already enjoy the final

#38

Very good and original spaceship concepts. I like the curve geometry and the glossy surface. Post any concept of the final composition that’s been wonder for sure.

#39

Ouch wow , thanks alot guys , I didnt expect to have such a wonderfull response .

unitstudio: I can see how that would be a problem but hear me out :
For the form I combined a snail / and a retro soviet ww2 figher look . Combined with a cold feel of a submarine I hoped that it would make it stand out , make it much more solid .
I might rework the front , and add a curvy tail structure . Thanks for commenting on that.

hi there. great renderings of your concepts

how about the evironment?
