Goz-Lightwave 11.5 problem

#1

Hey everyone!

I’ve been using goz to Lightwave for 11.5, and for the most part its been working awesome!

But, I’ve run into a snag. Whenever I goz to Lightwave it sends the subtool into its own object instead of a layer, which is fine, but when I try to combine them into one object, they start to share the same UV’s because Zbrush is naming all of the PUVs “ZBrushUVs”.

This is making rigging and giving bones certain weight maps a major pain in the rump.

I tried renaming the UV, it renames all of the UV’s, I tried opening each object separately and then re opening all of them and combining, but it makes the UV clear.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance guys.

hi david

when combining the different objects into 1 object it maybe better to import them into separate layers and then rename the Uv maps before combining them into 1 layer… i think this way you get a chance to rename the maps before combining the layers…

not sure if that makes any sense at all… hope it helps.
