Where can i find tutorials other than digital tutors?
Good tutorials for Archviz + mechanical modeling
For modelling tutorials, I usually find something for Max, LW or Maya, and recreate that with XSI tools… If you run into a function that you’re unsure how to replicate in XSI, then ask here.
Can’t think of anything specifically archviz off the top of my head but there’s this one by Gnomon which is about hard surface sub-d modelling http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/544/
And there’s these two as well which I haven’t actually seen:

Really, archviz isn’t such a unique thing that you need specialised modelling skills for it. In my experience it was always getting the plans into Softimage and the rendering that was the hardest.
