Does anyone know of a really really good human head tutorial that is specifically for Wings 3d or a tut that can be easily done with wings? What im going to do is just get one really good tut and do it over and over again until I can do it myself and change it up a bit
Thanks
Good Human Head Tutorial Needed

very last post has the working links.
Logan’s videos are probably the best Wings 3D head modelling video’s available right now.
Hi!
There was a tutorial showing modelling Anjelina Jolie’s head using reference pics. Have forgotten the url. Could anybody direct me to it, or to any other tutorial showing human head modelling from reference photographs.
Thanx!

Now that’s exactly how to go about gaining the stuff to create most any head…
I can’t find it now, but perhaps do a search for a tut done by Wiro…
it was the one I learned with initially, and then I simply changed over to a different starting point from there… created a more low point, boxier like object to use as a base, and from there it is forever, a very simple matter of scaling things out to whatever shape, size, and then cutting in some details…
Wiro’s tut can be found here:
http://www.meshmaker.7p.com/tutorials.html
and his site at: http://www.secondreality.ch/
But the one I’m looking for worked on creating the model using frontal and side ref photographs. Any clue where I can locate them? Searching on google isn’t helping!
My method is inspired from Laa-Yosh’s;
Make a very boxy model, add a few loops where I need them, smooth it and work from that using magnets and tweaks…

This isn’t going to help except for getting the shapes right uninstictively,I recommend using refpics, alot of them BUT outside your application so you can practice your eye-ruler and depth perception by modeling in perspective view(not an orthographic one)
Thanx!
Will try and look up Laa Yosh’s tutorial, though a link would definitely help!
I’ve to recreate a face using reference pics. I remember seeing an Angelina Jolie tutorial. So am desparately seeking tutorials on the same…to save myself some trial and errors!
It’s just general guidelines(sry no head modeling tut there) and once you’ve read them,it’s really up to you to make up your workflow.
I did a google search for ‘angelina jolie modeling tutorial’ and the first result is a cgtalk thread regarding a PDF tutorial.
http://www.cgtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-74790.html
(You’ll have to copy and paste the URL from the first response)
I’m assuming that’s the one you’re looking for.
It is a tutorial for point-to-point spline modeling, though … so not really applicable to the wings methodology.
Those links no longer work. Any idea if this tutorial is located elsewhere?
It is archived on the Wayback Machine, but minus images. So it’s not as
useful as it could be.
I’ve heard it’s a very good tutorial and am curious to try it. Any ideas?
cheers.
worked with wiro´s head tutorial a year ago and it´s really the best (poly/subdiv) I´ve come across so far…
just wanted to start working on a CG baby and this tut surely would be of great help again, but…offline
couldn´t find a mirror or backup anywhere else ;(
any help appreciated.
-thanks
