Good edit-gizmo example:

Why not replace the EditSphere with a clone of this?

Yes! It seems really like the IT of gizmos

#3

I like the single/double/triple channel control, but those world/local icons are clumpy. All in all, looks great.

#4

I don’t know. So far I like the edit sphere and it really doesn’t feel that different from other manipulators I’ve used. I think Taron’s idea of being able to design your own manipulators is the way to go. And I believe they are looking into it.

Bleh…looks like the Truespace manipulator reworked for this century. Mirai/Nendo/Wings3D have the best way to handle object manipulation hands down. Once you figure out how to get the edit sphere to move in two axis at once it’s not so bad; I would say it’s works pretty nicely for messiah’s workflow.

#6

works just like the XSI manipulator to me. I do like the easy access to the coordinate systems, but that could be done with a shortcut as well.

This is definitelly better then the current messiah manipulator, thats for sure.

i woud love to be able to add armatures to the edit sphere in messiah and have them “stick” to its position, i have some ideas of what i would throw in there for sure if that was the case…

#7

luxology modo have all-in-one gizmo, without buttoms.

#8

at this Tech rate we wont need gizmos for anything, …thought will do the moving. Is’nt that right HAL? …he said yes Dave.

Funny Leebert, i agree!

#9

Well I still haven’t find that out? How can I choose which two axes the M button should control??

You can kind of give the edit sphere a bias by selecting an axis, then the M. For instance in perspective mode, to move on XY, select (Y), then (M). But you can’t do ZY. Sometimes it’s easier and faster to switch to Screen Coordinates and just move things that way.
