I’m almost as impressed by your dedication to replying to every post as your skills :] Looking forward to your book!

…this scene is so serene and sublime, well complimented with your usual hint of dark overtones in the idea - i’ve always loooooved that about your work so much. the detail is also wonderful - a million people have said it already but these details and your warm skin tones are what always bring your work to life for me… i feel like i want to go sit down on this comfy forest bed with him so i can reach in and check his pulse myself and be there to live out this fairy tale for myself… your work is always so … gorgeous…

can’t wait for your book

Another soul therapy…

So Linda, when can I be expecting that painting with the knight in the library surrounded by lovely leather bound books and richly patterned fabric together with highly detailed armour?

No, really. :stuck_out_tongue:

you know something i am surprised for the worse, this piece has quality splattered on it from top to bottom. its definitely one of the best pieces seen around here. it saddens me to see that some people choose to give it such low scores that the star ratio is 4 and not above it.

the piece speaks for itself though and i am sure there are some good people around here that will push this star ratio upwards !

#112

Instantly knew this was a Linda piece even from the little thumbnail on the frontpage
What can be said that hasn’t already been said?
I’m in perpetual awe or your skill. We are so lucky to have you here.

#113

Wow, cool, very different too!

#114

i’m really impressed on this one. More than everything i’m pleasantly surprised to see that you went for a sweet close up. It’s a good way to focus (and to make justice) on the details you put in your pictures.
Hands are just awesome (since a couple of pict, they look completely real).
Love the mood as well.
bunch of stars for you miss.

#115

you are a genius with skintones!

#116

I didn’t read the WHOLE thread here…NOT sure if this has been answered but…
It’ isn’t clear to me…did you paint the person in this image? Or use a photograph then touch that up?
Either way I love it. Amazing work as always. Even MORE impressed if it was all painted. I’d like to see a bigger image size though.
Thanks for the time to answer. Keep it up Linda.

This is a beautiful image. The shape, skintones, hands and technical ability really show in this piece. It is techincally perfect no doubt, but its the other stuff that make it really special. What makes this a piece of art is that you really convey the sadness and melancholy so well. I feel that the character is either dead… or is slowly dying of a broken heart, he has lost his will to live and holds in his hands his most precious treasure. I feel like he is only a breath away from death because to me he still has some life in him, to be able to convey the emotion of loss and absolute sadness. Incredible. 5 stars.

#118

Linda, you’re making everybody else’s work look like dog poop… as always! The aesthetic of this one really blows me away! SO… when’s Furiae coming out?

#119

Beautiful! Just beautiful. It makes me want to pluck my fingers out of their sockets and fill the empty, bloodied stumps with paintbrushes and pencils so that I have no choice but to practice drawing and painting in the vain attempt to get get anywhere close to your immense talent… I agree with lots of the others that this is one of your best pieces.

I also think that Azreal didn’t really cut your hand all that time ago - I think you used that as a cover story to hide the fact that, somewhere in a Swedish laboratory, you had Michalangelo’s re-animated hand grafted on to your arm hence giving you this extraordinary gift… Am I right?

:applause: :applause:
