Getting like the old Hash Mailing List here?

I guess just asking people to be grown up and move on isn’t going to cut it :frowning:

As my comments were the last ones here:
http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?p=2284290#post2284290

I guess I was the one “not being grown” up too.
It was a courteous and polite discussion comparing the features of AM to a different program…with a little humour thrown in. I don’t believe it was diverting attention away form anything else on the board.

I’m not sure why I’m posting this as the thread will still be closed and this one will most likely be deleted, but just to register my “dis-satisfaction” with the stifling of debate.

LOL its crazy. David what are you doing that was a good thread and it was not bashing AM. It was talking about its animation ability. Are you getting paid or something for shutting down threads that say anything bad about AM? Your job here is not to shut down threads if people are not talking about AM the way you think they should its to make sure people dont get out of hand with bad language and personal insults.

here’s the thing:

it always starts like that. We all have warm fuzzies and get along and then it goes straight to heck and flames fly and feelings get hurt and someone kicks a puppy.

I’m old and tired and would rather nip it in the bud than see it go that direction. If you feel I’m a right bastard that’s fine but it’s just how I see it. feel free to cuss me out in this thread, burn me in effigy, or what ever you like. Just don’t kick my puppy.

This:

really just goes to show how intent and meaning can get misconstrued here on the great and loverly interweb…

Oh, you had to go and bring puppys into this didn’t you. How can I cuss you now!?! Maybe you have a kitten I can kick?

I agree but you didn’t even let it get to a point where somebody started the BS part of it. You just didn’t like what people were saying about AM and shut the thread down. Now if you don’t mind I have to go kick my dog because you did that. I’m trying to keep an eye on AM and I need both sides of the story not just the rosy one hash and you want people to see.

heh, well the kitten is my girl friend’s

It might also help if people take care in HOW they choose to express themselves.

Invariably there are always three types of posters:

  1. Those who don’t use AM
  2. Those who use AM and find their own ways to solve problems
  3. Those who use AM and expect Hash to find solutions to all their problems

I find it interesting that those in Group 3 seem to offer the most critisism of A:M - mostly highly talented people (artistically) but with little or no analytical (problem solving) skills.
Those in group 2 tend to be highly practical people who just get the job done.
Those in group 1 just shouldn’t comment - period.

Now please do not take offense - I am not identifying any of you with any catagory - only you can do that

Cheers

I’m not liking where THIS thread is going. Lets talk about A:M. Not try and analize what it’s users motivations are please.

Ob. . . you were probably wrong in nipping that earlier thread in the bum before it had run it’s course. As you can see it just spawns more versions of itself in ever stranger forms when you don’t let people vent.
