getting 4K out of a non-4K card

#1

I’m looking at these “new” 4K screens from Dell and Lenovo.
then I realize I only have a sub-4K card (nvidia Quadro 4000, max resolution 2560 x 1600)
so I’m thinking, is it possible to connect two outputs from the computer (DVI adn DP) to the screen, tell Windows to treat it as two monitors and the monitors to treat the two inputs as a side-by-side, thereby archiving 4K ?

I don’t want grainy scaled display.

No, you need a proper 4K-capable card that can carry a 4K signal

In theory this could be done where a device integrates two signals like you describe to create a single higher resolution signal but I’m not aware of any products like this on the market.

It can be done but essentially it just isnt worth the pain. Doubly so as your gfx card will struggle to drive something of that size even if it could output the resolution.
