[b][u]Creative Visualization Designer: Still Image Creation

Position Description:[/u][/b]Art Direction & Enhancement (AD&E) Creative Visualization Designers within GM Creative Design’s Global Creative Visualization (GCV) team are highly skilled artists both in CGI image creation and photo retouching. In this role, Designers work across General Motors Brands as well as with Advanced Production Studios to develop imagery that represents the vehicle story, GM brand identity, and evokes emotion from the audience.

Applicants for this position must be able to demonstrate a high level of photorealism, as well as the ability to match reference. Designers must also be able to concept and execute contemporary creative images as an individual.

AD&E team members create industry best practice CGI images as well as mixing photographs, CGI and art direction into seamless shots with the character and emotion of both the product, and associated brand.

Creative Visualization Designers (still image creation) responsibilities include:

Working closely with Creative Designers to intimately understand a vehicle, and develop the best possible representation in imagery.

Creative pitches both to studio team members and leadership with excellent communication around proposed executions, with well thought out and rationalized achievable artistic choices.

Photorealistic, emotional, and contemporary executions at a production ready ‘marketing’ quality.

Ownership and accountability for end to end asset creation. From data acquisition, creative development, and feedback integration, to final output and mastering.

Collaborating cross functionally within GCV on Animation, Video, Photography and Art Direction as well as across Global Creative Design reacting to unique project challenges.

Experience, Education and Training:

Bachelor’s degree with a major in an Art/Design based discipline.
Ability to demonstrate examples of photorealistic CGI execution, along with complex photo retouching through a portfolio. Examples of creative process.
Professional Art Direction Experience preferred.
