Does anybody explain me the difference between garbageMatte and holdOutMatte.
I’m studing the Primatte node and i put a quickPaint node in the holdOutMatte input of the Primatte… i put in the view window the alpha channel so I could see where to paint. Then i paint the hole in white color and my alpha channel was perfect, but then, in my composition, the space I’ve painted was in black color!!

a garbage matte is a rotoshape that you create to throw the parts you don’t need in your
sequence, and an holdout, to keep all parts you want to be opaque, primatte will have no influence in this holdoutmatte, try to use a rotoshape instead of your quickpaint
