What happened to the the big red guy? Really great character design but the mapping and texturing is killing it. It looks like a 64x64 texture at the moment and there are noticeable seams everywhere.

You have used a lot of noise in the texture which is why the seams are appearing.

You should spend a bit more time fixing this, it deserves better.

If you don’t have time fair enough but I think it could be really good if you put some more work into this.

Go to my page in download section (www.ilasolomon.com/freestuff.htm) you will find these 2 characters with their textures in fbx format, download the rar file and ‘openup’ it!

for opening fbx format you must have its plugin (go to www.kaydara.com and DL the FBX plugin)

I’d like to post more, but it is difficult. Many of the projects here are technically executed quite well, so it feels strange for me to go around pronouncing that someone’s work is good or bad. It’s much easier for me to just say I like something when I see something I like.

My only criticism of the challenge entries in general would be whether they’re meeting the specifications of the assignment.
