this is a good. one. the gauntlet has been thrown, and I´m willing to pick it up, for the first time in a challenge.
My concept is for a postnuclear third person shooter. Originally a friend and I thought about a mod for Fallout Tactics, but never found the time. The setting is a Scandinavia in winter time, but in a Fallout fashion, with rusty blasters and old muskets side by side. I made a concept for a robot and started modelling a highres version of it, but never finished, so I’m going to have a go at a lowpoly verison looking something like this.

The game is as I said a 3rd person shooter/slasher set in a postnuclear Scandinavia, with a collapsed technology, using muskets alongside with blaster and energy weapons, fighting mutated humans and animals.

My character is Compis 16.12, designed for the single purpose to work with someone in the northern parts of Sweden were the inhabitants tend to get lonely and suicidal. The Compis program was invented to add companions to the grumpy and introvert lumber workers to decrease the number of suicides.

After the nuclear war alot of robots was forgotten and drifted around in the countryside without objectives. So is compis 16.12, looking for someone to cher up with some hot coffe, a pad on the shoulder and some great companionship.


Animation: spin presentation (DIVX5.05 9.5MB (the gi pass was just for fun, but I did bake a gi pass in to the first diffuse texture, but not all of the layer was used.)

back from vaccation, and finally started modelling. it ain’t that pretty yet. but I got a few ideas along the way. it’s gonna be nifty. will be posting screen soon.

modeled some more. reached 3532 polys, so I got enough left for the chain saw and some more details. we’ll see how the design changes.

Nice. But the resolution of the texture does not seem to be the same across the different surfaces.

ok, so i think i’m almost done with the damn uvw:s. i’ve baked a skylight on them but i don’t know if i’ll use them. well, anyway here it is.

o2car: max and maya are playing along like nice children (though there have been some weird mix ups), most of the time. as are the crews of hidden and idol, now working as one.:stuck_out_tongue:

buck:I just saw the animatrix and I see what you mean, but mostly inspiration came from old sci-fi drawings and the swedish pen and paper roleplaying game Mutant. and a little bit from the Kilo & Byte project, mostly the torso.
