(Update 2003-07-12 00:45)

Game info:
The characters name is Igor Bazooka (don´t ask)
And with a name like that you can´t just grow up and become normal.
Being a frequent guest at various mentalinstitutions, you must not only fight off the badies but also your own insanity. Loose it and you´ll be out of control. You´re mission is revenge. You´re fierce, brutal, and quite mad…
The game is a 3rd-person action shooter, set in a near and dirty future.

I´ve been doing some thinking, and some sketches but I haven´t scanned them yet. But maybe I´ll just turn this old painting into a gamecharacter. I think it could turn out pretty nice.
What do you think?
It´s a wolverine with a big ass gun. But maybe it´s been done a million times allready…

Trust me, wolverines with big ass guns are pretty much non-existent

hehe cool, looks like he should eb an evil character from (was it wind in the willows, with TOAD and BADGER etc) … kind of makes me think of a Hyena rather than a wolf though… i think its because of his haunch / hunch. I dig it though, love the suspenders.

I have never in all my days seen a wolverine with a gun. Not that I wouldn’t like to…

#6

Nice concept! I like that image.

#7

I´ve just started modelling. Long way to go, but now I´m at it

#8

What a wild concept! And great start on the model

#9

Kinda reminds me of the weasels in “Who framed Roger Rabbit” looks like your off to a good start

#10

He reminds me of “Rocket Racoon.” A comic that Mike Mignola drew long long ago.

Pretty sweet! His trousers are the best.

here is a little update. I´ll work more on proportions later. Still a long way to go…

And I couldn´t resist MeshSmoothing

That´s all for now. Over and out. :wavey:

#12

your mesh seems very clean. whats the current poly count?
I counldn’t resist a mesh smooth on my character too

#13

it´s currently 2500 tris. So I´ll have plenty of faces for details and what´s left of the model.

#14

hehe, looks like it´s gonna be pretty tight in the end. I´ll still have to add some patches for hair and more detail to his shoes, not to mention, that I´ll have to model his gun aswell.

Aaaanyway. Here´s what I,ve got so far…

#15

Now I´ve only got 80 faces left

#16

One word…Nice! This is so cool Ic an just see his attitude and character through his concept pose.

#17

…and I have 7 faces spare

Now it´s on to texturing.

#18

Great work ! and fast too !
Really well done :!
One crit though : perhaps you could save a few polies on the gun ( trigger and barrel).
Otherwise just can’t wait to see it finished !

#19

Thanks.
Well as long as I can keep it under 4000, there´s realy no need to strip any polygons, but in case I should need some extra I know where to take them from

actually I´ve removed some from the trigger allready:thumbsup:

both design & technique is superb, looks hires to me! I can’t believe it’s under 4K polys, very well done, cheeeers!
