Game Engine Specs

#1

If I want to keep my personal projects within the parameters of current game engines, where can I find the specs I should follow in terms of polygon count and texture sizes for various types of in-game assets? A hero character is higher fidelity than a tertiary character; that sort of thing, but with specific numbers to follow.

From what I’ve read, the Unreal Engine 3 is the de facto engine that most folks look to for this kind of thing. I honestly don’t know how true that is.

Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply.

Poly counts reale depent on the type of engine, for instance the Bf2 engine has for a helicopter 8000 traingles (the engine counts in traingles ) now whit the PR team we made that go to 10.000 traingles (deu the fact most pc’s of to day a lot beter then the where in 05  )

how ever you say that the unreal 3 enigne is a lot used yes it is this are the specs as what i know of it :
