Game Art Mini Comp #2: Gate to a Tomb (terraarc)

#1

Welll, had this idea of a Gate…I call it “Gate I” (obviously I had another idea which I call “Gate II” but that’s a later story :)).
So “Gate I” is about a Templar Tomb. I thought of the Gate as an RTS or RPG (DIablo-Like) point of view, so not so close…
No more talking from here, that’s where I’m currently standing (595 tris)

Right now I’m having a problem with my scanner but I’ll post the concept asap

wow, thats really cool, i like the figures! thats very brave to make some figures in it with only 600 polys! maybe you get their texture more stonelike?

best regards,

remove unneccesury polygons delete some polys never seen and add the remain polys to your bodys

Thanks for the replies.

mah-h: Actually all unseen polygons are missing…

I saw that I couldn’t go nowhere with the textures and had another idea…which I completed during this weekend…so here it is:

House of the “soul” (Heroes’ Tomb)
A buinding for a strategy/RTS game where all heroes regenerate from. Some texture places can change color for a different group (actually all the green parts except from the tiles. Standing at 599 tris here it is!!

First some beauty

then, some wires

For those of you that are wondering…well no this is not Gate II. More like this is Gate III. I’ll see if I can make it for Gate II too!!:thumbsup:

hey!!

looks really cool.
some good vertex painting could really set the mood for this one. ( gate 3)

cheers!!

yeah…i agree…i saw one of your earlier posts and thought you were being maybe a little too brave with the statues, although the idea was cool and it looked pretty sweet…

i really like this new gate…the texturing is way good considering the strict restrictions…

any idea’s for the second gate ?
