Game Art Mini Challenge #2 Gate to a Tomb (Lou)

Love these really low poly contests so I thought I’d give it a shot. The current triangle count is 459, but still need to clean up a few areas. With the rest of the tri’s I think I’ll build up a little architecture around it.

This is the Dragon’s Tomb, the burial spot of a Demonic King. The main form was created by a dragon that was killed and embeded into the base of a volcano by lava. The entrance to the tomb is in the eye of the skeleton.

pretty cool idea. What is it the dragon skeleton that is partially unearthed? That would be cool. It is hard to see at this stage where you are going with the textures, there is some polys you lose. Good start.

the idea is nice but if use some other thing it will be more nice only rock bugger the visitor’s eyes

Made a first pass at the textures but still needs a lot of work. Used most of the 128 and one 64 so far. Its up to 573 tris, but i might go back and rework the gate part and add some rocks. Also, there is no vertex lighting yet only 2 omnis.

Very nice work. I think you should add a lot the texture though so that the whole thing comes up! Maybe, stretch a bit the textures in order to use some more on the gate and visuals (that’s a nice idea for the spare polys!!!I actually did use some visuals!) something like a glow around the “eye of the dragon” gate…I would also be tempted to add some lava color on the ground too!!
