Game Art Mini Challenge #2 Gate to a Tomb (Kwakkie)

First of all, Im new to these forums, so… HI!:scream: ANyway, I love contests and such thats why I joined hehe. Anyway… I dont know when this contest ends because its a ‘mini-comp’ and all…

oh well, on to my entry! Its a small ‘crypt’ with stairs that lead to the tomb(you cant see them in this picture coz its just a screengrab with no lighting etc). Im going to remove the door and fences because they dont really add much to the scene. That way id have another 64 Texture and about 100 polies for rubble, vegetation and other stuff. Took me about 4 houre to model, uv map and texture this baby… ok, enough balbbing, on with t3h p1mp4g3! :

looks cool.
you could lose some poly’s on the columns in each corner.
you can go over the 0-1 texture space to make the texture tile. :slight_smile:

thanks for the help man! But if I want to go over the 0-1 texture space, id have to use the entire texture just for those bricks right? Anyway, I dont think the challenge of this contest lies in the polycount but in the texturing(128 and 64 textures are just tooooo small argh:eek: )

opps, yeah. sorry . i didn’t see how you had laid out the textures on the targs.
and yeah, the texture size is becoming a real problem with this one. they are mega small.
