hey guys
here’s some game art i did from a minigame for the us navy we finished. its basically rendered real-time models with their normal maps and slightly better lighting set up from rendering in 3ds max. hope you like it.

Hey Kuman,
This is some fantastic work! really top quality stuff.
From the tight UVW layout I can only imagine the niggles you had with cleaning up the normal maps!!
The fish look fantastic also - and not to take anything away from this top quality work, but i think the fins of the fish could have used some transparency especially right out near the fin edges - but all round… full marks.
You should be proud of this work ![]()
BRILLIANT! Great work, no crits! One question/complement though: Did you bake the lighting, at least on the first ship? If not, REALLY brilliant ambient lighting mate. And even if you did, its still beautiful! Awesome job! Also, do you mind me asking what software you used? I’m just curious, the normal maps and lighting and UV maps are really makin me jealous. Great work!
Holy S**t!
THis is some extremely impressive stuff. These dont even look like games images - theyre so well done!
For the navy though? Its a bit sci-fi for their training needs isnt it?
Post this in the finished 3d gallery and im pretty sure frontpage will be yours!
Outstanding work - 5 big shiny stars for you
I am trying to come up with some good sci-fi models for a ShockWave game, this helps alot for inspiration ![]()
Though I cant use normal maps in SW3D, aaarg…
wow… indeed VERY awesome.
those uv’s look insane.
It must have been very hard to skin them.
good job!
An impressive body of work that you should be very proud of. Keep them coming!
Everyone’s already said it…
…but I have to reiterate
Excellent work! UV usage is top notch and the high-poly models are stunning.
Can’t wait to see what you post up next
*edit; I’m intrigued, does the player ship actually swim like a dolphin as a method of propulsion? (With the tail at the back?)
